If you head over to the Lionel Gallery they have lots of Banksys. Better still there are lots of other galleries with incredible pieces in. The clock gallery is defiantly worth popping into if you like that sort of thing. Van Gogh is awesome too.

Pre book tickets for all major attractions, queues on the day are phenomenal. Went on a nice canal tour when I was out there a couple of months ago, just the wife and I plus two pals, best way to see the dam, leemstar canal cruises on trip advisor, nice guy, small boat, bring along a few Amstel

Rent bikes and see where you end up!
Go to the north side opposite central station and cycle up the nieuwedammerdijk. Also go to the NDSM area in north.
You'll have a great time in lots of areas in Amsterdam, don't just stay within the canal zone.

Its an english stand-up comedy theater,
if I remember correctly, they had two shows a day, one with food one without.

They are pretty awesome, especially when you catch a night where they do have an open mic afterwards.

OT301 is a good club thing to go to,
it was squatted by a group of artists and they succeded in buying the place, good people, good vibe.

My wife bought us a long weekend in a beautiful art-deco hotel there a few years back. I can highly recommend purchasing a ready-rolled and share it while basking in the park to the rear of the Rijksmuseum. Then enter said museum, hire the audio-tour headphones and spend the next few hours in awe.

A city where you can just wonder around and find interesting places , you don't really need directions and you can't get lost
Flower market by the cinema ,torture museum there and a weird old wonky building coffee shop
Theatre district near Van Gogh museum
Palace central square is interesting
Mindful of the red light district , lots of pickpockets
