Hopefully that result will be disregarded.
The work last night sold for just over £15k. They have been selling privately for £15k-£25k. No idea where you have pulled $12k from

Not really no. You had the most hyped show of the year and either bidders went crazy or there was a bit of market manipulation. LeagueOTO have a unique position where if they get behind an artist it is worldwide appeal.

Then you had a second auction for a piece that cost around $3k retail at the start of the year reach $17,500 after fees, another great result.

I would be using the $17,500 as the correct secondary market value and have heard of similar sales. If you think about it that is a huge markup for a highly in demand artist and if I was the seller I would be really happy.

The only reason people have freaked out is the difference in price but to me it isn't that surprising and $17,500 is an incredible result from a very talented artist.

PS. I do own one piece of artwork by Kencut, a 120cm tondo. I might be biased but think my opinion is fair.

That was the hammer price...25% added on after the fact bringing it up to that. 

So before BP Just under 13K USD (depending on conversion rates they used).

It’s clear the first one had something funky going on. I think the 2nd one is more in tune with the market. In fact, I know of multiple pieces going on the secondary market directly in line with that pricing as Tommy stated above.

The market is still red hot for Kencut and the trajectory is heading up. If I was pricing a piece on the secondary market, I’d be using the most recent result as a comp, not the first.

Such is life.  Along with every other artist that is flipped before the paint dries.

Lets breath a little. The first one that sold it was almost impossible to get a piece. That piece went for a crazy 57K. A lot of early buyer 1k-3k immediately tried to cash out at auction price. Come around to this auction this piece fetched what current secondary market command. And just for the record leagueoto is a great organization and crew. My 22222222 cent

I mean if that bid is a bid interested in increasing the value or if it is a bid from someone who is really willing to spend that money. The first time we saw your auction 50,000 we all speculated on whether it would be a real bid, that's why I asked.
