You know if Silky does decide to shut this forum down, I wouldnt blame him, because some of you people are just simply horrible with a serious bitterness to you - if i were a gallery or an artist, I would want to distant myself from you rather than the people who sell, at least they show a touch of class!!!

Nick Walker • Vandal Airlines, by veralynn on Apr 21, 2008 22:08:40 GMT 1, Lets shut the forum down as it stands and re create one where you can buy and sell only and re create another discussions forum which is what this was once upon a time rather than to act as a 'guide to flipping' which is available to every tom, dick or sally. I've sold a couple of bits in my time and they've all been on the wall framed at some stage. I do like the Lifes too short but the price is prohibitive, without this forum it would be no where near this level, no where near. Recent posting indicate that members might have 'paid' people to stand in line for this print, this isn't 'OK' business practise, its tantamount to slavery - fucking disgrace and if the artists aren't concerned then they should be and so should the galleries who are rubber stamping the practise when the do, via pricing, have direct influence.

What he said!!!! This is not a sale of art from your collection it's a straight flip for profit of something you haven't even received yet, please keep that on ebay. Is there really any need to rub it in for those who wanted it to keep, but missed out and can't afford to pay you the extra grand or 2??? You could choose to show those people a little more respect that some of your fellow flippers have!

Then they wouldn't been seen as such mercenary fuckers who lurk around on forums giving nothing but taking everything.....

Those that got one can do anything they want with them. end of. if they want to put them up for sale two minutes after scoring one for 300% more power to them. Heavyconsumer- I'm not sure why you keep telling people what this site is for and how it can be used. Post after post of your dribble. ::rolls eyes:: you've been here 2 months, have over 800 posts, and 2/3s of them are whinny, bitching crying sessions. Get OVER the fact that people re-sell art.
The only 'duty' I have is to inform you that you are a sorry pathetic twit.

Nick Walker • Vandal Airlines, by Heavyconsumer on Apr 22, 2008 7:19:26 GMT 1, cpo, with all due respect, you're not correct. Only in the last few days have a made a point of whining about peoples' actions (plus the odd, rare run-in with ruralhick and paulypaul), so that would not represent anywhere near the proportion of my posts you imply. I have tried to learn from members here as well as offer my personal opinions of art and even posted threads to try and bring point of interest to the forum. I'm happy to take responsibility for anything I wrote and have at NO time suggested people are not within their rights to do whatever they wish with anything they own. I've merely suggested that, people could still do whatever it is that they want with a little more respect, rather than without any for fellow mwmbers. I have of course also suggested that buyers contact the sources of prints to alert them as to who is flipping. I don't know what to say regarding your eye-rolling and finger-pointing, but would be very happy to engage you in a more intereseting conversation than this one sometime! Sorry if you were offended, I can't see how though.
I would very happily address any of my comments specifically if you feel I'm out of line, now or in the future. Openly or by PM. I know I'm knit-picking here but I've been posting since the first few days of Feb, so that's almost twice as long as you stated, not that it is in anyway relevant, but you raised the subject.
If you find my attitude towards this practice abrasive, I accept that, but the reason is quite simply that I (and many others who are just sick of raising the issue) find these actions abrasive and contrary to the nature of a forum based on art appreciation. It is a public forum and I am free to express my perhaps rather anal view.
Good luck with your sale (if there is one) anyway and I genuinely (not that I think you could care less) do not wish you anything other than the best. I think we are all responsible for what type of community this is and I chose to take a stand on an issue that I feel is relevant. Sadly it seems to have lost me your respect, but I'll try not to lose sleep over that.

Nick Walker • Vandal Airlines, by atomone on Sept 1, 2023 18:27:59 GMT 1, I am selling my Nick Walker Vandal Airways Screenprint from 2008.
Edition of 150, professionally framed with COA
13 colour screen print with varnish on Somerset Satin White Paper
Signed and numbered from an edition of 150.
Print Height is 64cm x Width 93cm
Frame Dimension is 40” x 29” x 1.5” deep
Corner to corner diagonal dimension is 49”
Comes with the Black Rat Press COA
I am the original owner and bought from source at time of release from Black Rat Press in 2008 and was immediately framed in a matt white frame and mount and to archival standards.
Has been hung out of direct sunlight and never been removed from the frame
The frame has slight damage to the left side but not really noticeable from the front and would be easy to touch up
Ideally pick up only - Based in North London N13. Would consider delivery but would have to source postage options should someone want it delivered.
The only one I can see online is at £1850 from a gallery which is unframed. l’m not sure it’s worth as much as that so I’m open to offers and suggestions on pricing.
DM me with any offers. Will stick on the eBay if I don't have much luck on here.
Thanks

Also its hilarious reading all the angry comments from 15yrs ago when someone tried to sell a Vandal Airlines print. The idea of someone trying to making a profit back then was really controversial eh?

There's one on eBay for £1250 so this is a bit of a steal IMO

The framing was £250 so I'm out of pocket but have new pieces being framed and so this sale would help fund the new ones.
Feel free to DM to discuss in more detail.
