Jake & Dinos Chapman π¬π§ Artists, Chapman Brothers, by Ravnur 2020 on Mar 17, 2022 17:02:37 GMT 1, Bar a couple of APβs, I think I mostly preferred the regular edition. Many of the APβs are too busy for my liking.
Really looking forward to seeing the work in the flesh.

Jake & Dinos Chapman π¬π§ Artists, Chapman Brothers, by blurp on Mar 17, 2022 17:05:42 GMT 1, Agreed. AP4 (not mine) is over the top, but I like how it is brazenly signed and how "goya" is written too. When they went live sadly didnt have time to give them all al close look (4 was already gone), I like that Ap2 has the background painted. Anyway, the while series - AP and regular edition - is great.

Surprised corners weren't damaged... but does have a lovely big crease down it!! No extras for a replacement, so only option is to keep it or get a refund

Sorry to read this. Poor packaging is so disappointing. I canβt fathom why it still happens. Us collectors know how upsetting it is to be excited to receive a piece of art only for it to arrive damaged. I wish those galleries (and Iβm afraid, a few artists) that still take a less than thorough approach to packing would put in a little extra effort to avoid that disappointment.

It's about the 4th or 5th print in a row I've received with some type of damage. Publishers are getting very lazy!

It's about the 4th or 5th print in a row I've received with some type of damage. Publishers are getting very lazy! It also happens way too often with vinyl records. The sleeves have creases, bumped corners, seam splits that occur during shipping because the packaging is too flimsy or the records shift during shipping. I used to shrug it off but no more. In the past couple of years records (and shipping) have gotten so expensive that if there is the slightest problem I ask for a replacement or a full refund if they can't replace it. Four out of the five packages I've received recently had some sort of issue. It just makes you want to stop having stuff delivered altogether.

It is the same for me. The extra cost and time to better pack the items would reduce the returns, refunds, poor customer experience and the time to manage the issues.
In my experience well packaged items rarely get damaged. Even if the package sustains damage, the item does be ok.

Agree, want to receive the first one to see the actual work and see what state it arrives in before committing to another one.
