Yes he has had a big response to his piece in Cardiff. I went to see it yesterday.

A lot are doing, painting, making blue and yellow colors of Ukraine, their flags..
Some are great ( the Doodle one per example ) , some others not, but never mind.
I 'm wondering why Obey put on line this print ( this drawing ) on line ?
What is the rapport with Ukraine ?
A nice womand and drawing of course but.... Old recycled one ? New visage ?

To finish I think that Shepard Fairey is a bit condescending wit his prints, " Make art, not War ! "
The puni is ok, not new, ok , but in these tragical events, did he think to the people who are workers, only people as you and me, people from the street that does not make art ?
They do no want to make art, they dont want to have war...
In this case, I think the print, limit ( even if beautiful, and offered it as poster to download ) .
Just talking about all this... Anyway, really happy to see all these artists involved...

I thought the same @lroy. Of course every help/donation helps but I am disappointed about some of the messages. โMake art not warโ or simple โpeaceโ messages can be interpreted as addressing both sides of the conflict and are seemingly oblivious to what is happening. I know that that is of course just my interpretation but who really wants war. Itโs easy to just always scream โpeaceโ, especially in free, democratic societies. It of course is a different matter when you are brave enough to speak out in Russia. I am hearing lot of Bertha von Suttnerโs โLay down your weaponsโ quotes and wonder whether people think a step further. If Ukraine stops, Ukraine will cease to exist. Moldova might be next.
