He told me he couldnt pay me back as he had used my funds to pay another debt he has...
Unbelievable to say the least.... He came on to the forum last week and advised that he wasn't answering me because he went to a football match and got wasted with his friends...

Just cause PayPal doesn't protect you doesn't mean a good credit card wont. They dont have to and itll depend what you spend per year on it but I bet you spend enough that they refund you... You are allowed to buy something from a friend and in the credit card world there is no F&F - that's a PayPal thing. You bought something and didn't get it. I would dispute it. IT may piss PayPal off but it is not hard to open a new pp acct
