Wish I could, I started skating in the Early 80's when the Bones brigade were just starting out, thats why I love these decks. I carried on for about 12 years and by the end skated vert and street to a fair level. It's one thing I really miss about my teenage days. Although I did teach my neighbors son an ollie and kick flip last year ;D

DFace • Skateboard Decks, by victorwilliams on Mar 6, 2008 18:13:15 GMT 1, I've just came off the blower to the guys at Katesskates he mentioned that the most orders for any deck they have ever had over a period of a weekend is 50, the dface deck had 400 purchases/orders (obviously not all successful) over the same period of time!
Crazy art world that we live in at the moment people.

All depends on his next works I think... if it's more skulls, then, in the immortal words of Duncan Bannatyne - I'm out

Not at all mate... I was so disappointed with the D efforts from the last BRP show... more of the same over and over again... left me with a bad taste in my mouth... hence the selling of the Pop Tart collage... My balloon dogs should be back soon though, much better D...
I hope the guy does something different next time, I really do, and if it's good I might buy it... but I don't know if he can... he's becoming an imitator, not an innovator when it comes to his works for sale (the street work is different)... I swear if he releases one more thing with a skull or a tongue poking out I'll scream

DFace • Skateboard Decks, by noodles1 on Mar 6, 2008 21:26:23 GMT 1, I know wot ya mean tho, I'd like to see something else from D*. Not coz I'm bored tho, but because he has a talent that can be explored further and I'd like to see it. Im a massive fan/Collector of D*s work but I have openly admitted that the last BRP prints were not only uninspiring, but also lazy IMO. I was very disappointed and have no desire to own any of them. Still loving the skulls tho, but anymore on my walls the my homes gonna start looking like some 'Moshers Student Digs'. ;D
I may sound like Iv contradicted myself here, Jus to sum up, Im not bored yet but something new please D*!!!

I suppose the same comment goes to faile also the images are cool and easy but reused to often. NEW WORKS expected, please:)

DFace • Skateboard Decks, by foundation on Mar 6, 2008 22:12:47 GMT 1, The older stuff ( dawn raid and all city) are great as are the dog save the queens... he started to flog it a bit with canis and into the Kant, che, tart etc... but feckin gems in there with what wars are for and the death and glory ( show print and flag raisers). The guy obviously has a bucket of tallent, and I too hope he moves away from the deaths head stuff for a while, the d-dog stuff would be great to see more of as would the wee general chap ( D&G show print, cans etc... not sure if he has a name). He does a fine range of oddities which I have found to be as entertaining as his prints ( woven notes, cans, vinyl, bookcases, hats, T-s etc...) definately a much greater diversity of media than most, which has actually held more of my interest of late than his paper output ( most of which went to an avid D-face collector ( who promptly passed it on to others... ))
The odd set of wings and tongues wont go amis for old times sake, but personally, I'd like to see a bit more of the obvious tallent the guy has given us glimpses of.

No. Leave them for someone who might actually use it for it's intended purpose and not for a crazy art fan or flipper out to make a quick buck.
(okay no seriously, PM me the address)
