Invader Alert 2020 Print, by urbanwear on Jul 18, 2021 17:38:55 GMT 1, @theitalianone "can I ask if the package is solid?no paper in between the print and the cardboard?" Print given flat in a very strong package, the package had the number/edition written in pencil top right corner, big red logo on the front, museum details inside. The print was between two tissue papers one above and one under the print, the print isn't embossed, numbering bottom left, signature bottom right, in pencil. Print seems a very heavy paper maybe a 350/400 g. On the back of the print you find a very simple blue ink stamp with the logo of the museum. really love these little showcards, flyers... Looks like digipack cd Yes the showcards are very nice, bit larger than a CD roughly + 20cm x 20cm, paper about 200g.sq/m. Please find attached a photo front/back, sorry for the watermarks but I don't want to help anyone get strange ideas.

Invader Alert 2020 Print, by Monkey on Jul 18, 2021 20:22:25 GMT 1, u selling show cards? if so how much? we’re they limited or available 2 all who made it 2 slovenia? There are the exhibition showcards. Anyone can grab them at the entry of the museum when visiting the place. I guess they'll be available until the end of it. Nice items indeed, framed one of mine

Invader Alert 2020 Print, by Jimini Cricket on Jul 18, 2021 21:53:06 GMT 1, It's sad to read from grown men who want to commit to f5ing to score a print on release. Instead try putting that effort into reaching out to grad students in great programs around the world. All are easy to chat to before they get signed up. It literally costs nothing to network. But if people want to continue to collect invader prints, so be it. i am not sure what is sadder.... grown men F5ing to score a print from one of the most prominent street/urban artists (one who was an integral part of the forum that you are posting on) or someone who spends time on a street/urban art forum while thumbing his nose at the art. stop clogging the forum with your fellating of grad students. literally no one cares. we are all extremely happy that you have achieved art enlightenment.
You need your eyes checked because the dynamic and fresh street/urban art scene that started it all has evolved into none other than a cash hungry beast pumping out derivative work. What is so fan-fucking-tastic about a speech bubble with a pixelated invader? If people were talking about the original invaders in their collections, that would be refreshing. But it's just a print.

So many questions...

Do YOU know how forums work? If people stop bloating the threads with this crap and replace it will quality discussions, I will be peaceful. I promise. If it's mind numbing drivel, I will burn it to the ground. So where in art history do we need a pixelated invader inside a speech bubble?

Invader Alert 2020 Print, by stock on Jul 19, 2021 3:00:35 GMT 1, Relax people! Why should anyone feel to be in a position to tell people what to do and give moral lessons on art collecting? You want to collect prints? Collect prints. You want to spend the summer f5ing the space store page, do it; you want to collect snowballs? Do it. Let’s stop patronizing and let’s be a bit less negative. I am too sometimes and then I regret it. Happy Sunday everyone! Thank you- I wasn’t going to engage with the trolls! The crazy part is that my best friends dad missed out buying an invader work years ago (huge techy nerd who doesn’t buy art), regrets it, and can’t afford one now. I got slammed by the troll for not investing in newer artists - uh, it’s not mutually exclusive (side note, the last 5 works I bought were from young unrepresented artists.)
This forum was cool enough to help me score the recent invader catalogue, and my friend and I will now gift this to her dad for his 70th birthday (bc I can’t get the print), a book he will treasure!
In sum, thank you for bringing the positivity- and if you ever do want to collect snowballs I know your karma will give you a big beautiful freezer.

I encourage the supporting of young artists. If you feel comfortable discussing, my dms are open and I am happy to share my thoughts with like minded people.

Can’t you just ignore the thread? It’s a forum there’s no policing what people can and can’t talk about because YOU don’t find it quality. Just talking about a print release it’s not even off topic.

So where in art history do we need a pixelated invader inside a speech bubble? Maybe you don’t know, but we are talking about this:
and this image comes from THE 2001 FIRST EVER INVADER PRINT:
So I think we are already talking about history of Art And if you consider the source where it is based:
which is Susan Kare’s icons designs for Apple Macintosh System 7, we are talking about the history of digital design, and Alert is an homage to this But we can even go further. Susan never denied (but also never said she did) that her icon was based on Bauhaus logo:
So, you don’t like it? It’s ok. It is not history of art? Dare to say any of the people who have anything to see in this image is not part of history of art.

Was reading the other day about Susan Kare's icon, that made me like this print even more.
it is not only the image of the first invader print but also a straight trip back to the 90's.
A true and iconic Invader Print, if you know the hidden aspect of it.

-Macintosh changed my life in the 90’s. I won’t go into details but it allowed me to continue my engineering career. Without it, I don’t know where and how I would be now. -Besides the number in the catalogue raisonee, 52, is a special number for me. My favorite number, far from any other. Even my wedding table was numbered 52 😂 But I didn’t score it, and probably not either in the space shop release
- even contacting MGLC every 2/3 weeks - even having a contact in Slovenia (on holidays 😓) - even having ready to check out plane tickets on Saturday
Also personal story… so saddest failed release ever

Invader Alert 2020 Print, by The Italian One on Jul 19, 2021 8:38:47 GMT 1, thanks Javier this is the best post of the thread. Even my wedding table was numbered 52 😂 But I didn’t score it, and probably not either in the space shop release - even contacting MGLC every 2/3 weeks - even having a contact in Slovenia (on holidays 😓) - even having ready to check out plane tickets on Saturday Also personal story… so saddest failed release ever you have one more chance Javer, really hope you will able to get one through the space shop,
there was somebody on the forum who was "flipping" one the other day, have you tried to get in touch? maybe the price in not that expensive now that we know there will be more for sale by the end of the summer

It’s Australian dollars I guess But even that way Versailles 7.500€ seems pricey to me
