They are reviewing the potential buyers and they will pick Itβs in black and white

Invader Alert 2020 Print, by bw88 on Oct 18, 2021 2:51:15 GMT 1, Yep I donβt see what the confusion is Clearly states you should apply and then they will review the applications It literally explains this is not a lottery or a raffle, there is no luck. They are reviewing the potential buyers and they will pick Itβs in black and white What? Of course there's a lottery/raffle component to it. You think they're going to manually sift through 30,000 entries to find the people they want to get a print? Why even do this in the first place? They could of course very easily find 100 people to give these to if that's what they wanted to do.
When they say review entires, that pretty clearly means that they will randomly select some winners and then check those winners for duplicate entries or some sort of evidence of them being flippers.
It's so bizarre to think this isn't a lottery/raffle. Why the hell would they go through all of this when could very easily allocate these prints?
"Let's get 30,000 people to apply for this and then select the people we were going to select anyway."
LOL...come on.

Yes it was in an Instagram story, as a gif in the corner, but people donβt read. Anyway whatβs the difference between « picking up Β» names, ( as read in previous posts ) and a lottery ?! Itβs the same, there are difference : Invader wonβt take the most beautiful emails names and adresses, or make a selection about countries, etc etc .. He would take a random generator ( after checking information and choosing some mates β names maybe, not sure ) that will do the job for this incredible high demand !
Why this debate ?

We all thought that for Banksy GDP.
Very few winners on here ( maybe 3 or 4, 2 ? ) , even on Instagram we were waiting and saw nothing β¦
Some more wellknown names coming with the third batch or application, later on.

Invader Alert 2020 Print, by Lroy on Oct 18, 2021 7:01:17 GMT 1, There is so much nothing at the moment - and for a while - in new prints (oh yes, posters, cokes, and poster again, signed by Hirst and this, from Cherry Blossom, or NFTs ) , that this Invader 's print is creating a buzz. .
We all like old good prints I guess, with beautiful colors and thick mat paper.
Street-art drops are a bit a misery at the moment. Pejac ? only few and more expensive prints coming with the new show.. Faile, Obey, etc.. forget it. Blok ? Doodle ? Signed toys and Uno ? Unsigned trains ?
There are new artists of course, but for me, it's not street-art nor graffiti, but rather contemporary artists painting old stuff - it's not a critic - , as impressionism, or in nabis style etc... ( And some are posters again and again... )
Is it the end ? Taxes killed them all ? How to swap with a US or UK colleagues now ?

Invader Alert 2020 Print, by Lord Lucas Roham on Oct 18, 2021 10:07:40 GMT 1, It's simple to sift through 30k entries in Excel.
I'd remove duplicate IPs, postal codes etc first, I'd then cross reference against previous orders, then I might sort by country.
From that I'd probably randomly assign a number of winners to particular countries or regions. I'd manually check the winners just in case there was anything suss.
Simple, and would take a couple of hours at most.

If you eliminate duplicate postal codes nobody in a big city will win Imagine the quantity of postal codes in Paris vs the number of applicants
But I agree that IP and address can be a good elimination

Invader Alert 2020 Print, by churchwood on Oct 18, 2021 15:23:44 GMT 1, This could work.
worth somebody with more of a clue than me sanity checking
If you are on a bog standard ISP in the UK, you probably don't have a fixed IP address - if you unplug your router for 10 minutes from the mains then plug it back in, you router will grab a new IP address from your ISP's pool of addresses so this may get around the blocking of the current IP you are trying to get on the Space Shop from
equally - it may not
This could work.

Invader Alert 2020 Print, by soupy on Oct 19, 2021 12:56:28 GMT 1, I'd remove duplicate IPs, postal codes etc first, I'd then cross reference against previous orders, then I might sort by country. this makes zero sense. why would duplicate IPs or postal codes be immediately eliminated? the lottery simply said to make an entry per spaceshop account. it was not 1 entry per IP address or zip code. while it would make sense not to draw multiple winners from the same IP/zip code.... it also shouldn't eliminate them from the initial draw (if it is a random draw). the mental gymnastics people go through to reason out what they would have done had they hypothetically been running this lotto is pretty funny.
