It's not as if the original was easy for overseas people to buy. This was the only shot for the rest of the world to get a print and he makes it US only anyway! Bad form.

Interesting that the print was $1200 whereas the first SpongeBob print was $800.

It sucks that it was for US residents only. I understand that it maybe hard to ship a four footer half way around the world.

But a flat packed print isn't really a problem, especially considering they're use to shipping the vinyl toys to all the corners of the world.

Very poor form by kawsone.

I guess it's money saved that I will spend on the Blu print...

Shipping overseas is a bit of a chore, it does require a lot more paperwork and then you also have to deal with people who will certainly complain about customs charges as a result of it being marked at full value and what not.

Tracking is also more complicated and as soon as it's 'outside US' you have all of Europe and Japan as well as everyone else in the world. The price included shipping so that's another reason why too.

Thats just wrong. If someone is prepared to run a Gallery and offer released prints etc then they should be prepared to put the work into shipping worldwide. Its just lazy to take the easy option of US only, still its easy money for them i suppose.

I agree Wiz. Yes I am disappointed I had one in a basket and could not pay but to be honest I was over that 10 minutes later. I do think the attitude of stating US only is just extremely poor customer service for an on-line release.

Perhaps Kaws wanted to keep this print available to USA residents, as it is an American animated character. Maybe he will do a UK only release - like the Teletubbies or Benny Hill

That's what I've got but his payment processor requires the card to be registered at the shipping address. Still can't believe it. So close yet so far. Would have looked great next to my Yellow KawsBob.
