That drop was fucking BULLSHIT....pompous fucking yuppie art collectors do not give anyone a shot in hell...where was the fucking email?? I was getting this for my 3 year old son laying in a hospital bed to give him some sort of joy while he slowly gets sicker....I abided by the rules, waited with 3 forms of communication and sat here for 3 hours. Not even the courtesy of an email to give a moral working man even a chance...as an artist myself i'm ashamed at how the Establishment controls this, the business of happiness, reflection & motivation, (ART). More Artists should take control of these situations and make sure their blood, sweat & tears get into the proper appreciators, (no pun) hands...Congrats to those who were
crafty enough to now own this.

I understand the frustration but I think it's hard to blame these people for the ridiculously obsessive "collectors" that always pound these sites a thousand times a second in hopes of a quick flip. You know it's gonna happen. I don't blame them for not wanting to invest thousands of dollars in back end development and server technology to accommodate the random online insanity.

They should do a lottery through Kaws people or at least sell them where the servers can handle the influx of potential buyers....this is all done on purpose so all the in-crowd will score...I should get my brother to look into this (entertainment lawyer)... There is definitely something going on here...Kaws is such a high profile artist who has the ways and means to do this correctly.

i don't think folks here are mad about the server not handling the traffic. personally i'm just pissed off that they mislead everyone on their mailing list. if they're going to publicly post something on their mailing list and not deliver, why should we support them in the future? people were spending money to help support this gallery and they had the balls to tell us they'll be sending special links to the sale but couldn't delivered.

I understand the disappointment. I would have liked to get one but I can do the math, The odds were not good.

I had the right screen up and was refreshing until the buy button popped up and I didn't make it all the way through. I'm not at all surprised.

Lotteries are the only fair option that I can think of. Even if they sent the email, by the time most of us got it, it would be sold.

I'm sure they will be selling all over the place and the prices will come down from the $2000 asking that seems to be common now.

i doubt that. in their mailing list they stated that heavy traffic was going to be on the site, so they knew before hand that this will be sold out on their website right after they posted it. either someone forgot or no one from that gallery was taking charge of the situation. still unacceptable considering they're charging $800 for the print and part of that will benefit their gallery. i expected more, i'm sure everyone on their mailing list did.
