3D Originals Help on Valuation, by steffnjoff on May 6, 2021 16:00:14 GMT 1, Hi looking for a bit of guidance on valuation of a few Robert Del Naja originals (well hopefully they are) some on paper and the others on hardboard.
I am fairly confident this is one of a series he did for Heligoland named Beleiver .
We donโt have them named on insurance as we have no idea other than the price we paid but even the prints I bought from POW have rocketed in value so thought I had best try and suss out values for originals. Any help would be appreciated share.icloud.com/photos/0seStLv-3u_Q5XcnJXcBLEsaw

Seriously, though, what a great piece! Last auction results for originals I think were these at Tate Ward:
Artsy - 3D
Seem to remember them being around the ยฃ5k mark (that might be wrong, though). Probably worth speaking to them first of all; I've tried Laz with respect to originals before but he never emails back.

3D Originals Help on Valuation, by steffnjoff on May 6, 2021 17:18:30 GMT 1, Thanks for your advice I wrote to Lazinc a couple of years back and Penelope came back and said I was a lucky lady ( I bought of eBay with very limited knowledge on buying art we just decided we wanted the picture to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary ) . We met the seller liked and trusted him so all turned out well.
I will take another look on Artsy I have tried before and took out a weeks subscription but only a couple of prints came up.
Thinking of writing to Laz but suspect he is inundated with requests hey ho as they say in the North East Shy Bairns get nowt

3D Originals Help on Valuation, by obaki69 on May 6, 2021 18:38:28 GMT 1, FWIW I purchased a 3D original earlier this year. Spoke to a few galleries who had sold 3D pieces previously. They both told me that depending on size and if it was a private sale the value would be ยฃ3-5k. Auction results which were noted above.
I bought my piece on the high end of that range, mostly because of the person receiving it as a gift directly from Del Naja.
Love your piece and hope you post more pics!
Hope this helps.

The letter '3' features a star motif to the right edge, and a bright white star features just behind. Unsigned. Framed and glazed. Measures approx; 46cm x 38cm.
Provenance: supplied with a handwritten note by the vendor (a previous member of the band). This artwork was personally gifted to the vendor by Del Naja in the late 1980s during production of the 'Blue Lines' album, with which the vendor was involved.

3D Originals Help on Valuation, by startimeash on Oct 3, 2021 14:08:43 GMT 1, Damn, was hoping this would go unnoticed ๐. Gotta think with it being sold in Bristol that thereโll be a decent amount of interest.
