Digard Auctions β’ Invader Exclusive Auctions β’ PARIS π«π· , by johnnyh on May 15, 2014 11:19:11 GMT 1, Would suggest people be a bit careful with this lot and Mary McCarthy
I bought a piece at the last auction they did and Mary gave me a condition report on it. She said in good nick and no marks etc. So I bought it.
Paid them
Took loads to actually get it off them as they were Mickey Mouse and my shipper could not collect for ages ( know some others had the same problem with Digard).
Anyway eventually got it sent and received. When it arrived the condition was no where near as promised with marks and chips to the paint etc.complained etc
Mary blamed the shipper......which was all good but actual photos proved it was not them. They did nothing about it Mary disowned it.
Terrible auction house to work with and would not trust anything Mary says again. If your there to view the pieces etc fine but if not and on the phone or net be very careful

Nice price on the faile dog too. Some fantastic pieces..cheers for sharing "Signed within image"... I guess means it's not signed. Just their name in the print!! And why's in mounted on board? Is this a paste-up that someone's stuck to card?

By the way, I did not know that Dran is not a member of DMV anymore. To my knowledge nothing would prevent DRAN from re-joining his crew anytime he wants, my understanding was that it could (or not) be only temporary ;-) As for DRAN's artworks being rarely consigned at auction, there's a good reason for that : early collectors just stick with the beauties they own ! Hence every piece that has been auctioned up to now has only ever been a minor / not so appealing one...
