I meant a professional... on the Dran market. What i mean is that this is a truly wonderful piece but I have seen others at least on par with that. wouldnt say its his masterpiece. hoping for the best for this auction

This is why I said a Dran Masterpiece! As one of the masterpiece he created, there are of course other important works!

Super pleased that both his previous record was broken and he smashed through the €100k ceiling.

Yes seeing the little binary bug print cost the buyer over 10K euros. Kit prices have been established quite high. I think print prices have been less visible. An Invader only auction will be interesting.

I think the timing is bang on for this. Prices have been surging lately and there is a lot of interest. The dozen or so pieces in the recent auction did quite well. You have lots of quasi originals in tiled books and kits (can offer opened and sealed kits) along with aliases and prints. I guess the “tat” stuff could be the sneakers and space balls (mine have turned urine color, I mean they’re “vip gold” variant). Many of the prints have 6 different color editions, just between 4 different prints alone you have 20-25 total prints, so I think there’s plenty to offer in the way of prints. I think 80 items of quality are very possible. Plus this is taking place on his home turf. I’m not selling anything until after october personally.

This is a great Chalks. Has a distinguished past too.

Hopefully it will keep the momentum going from the last auction. It will give an indication whether more people are looking to buy his art, from the more affordable bracket. Historically auctions tended to be no more than a couple of people bidding. I know Chalks have sold for £10k+ in the past but maybe if this reaches it top estimate, it will set a record, with fees?

Either way, a great opportunity for someone to buy a nice piece.
