Arlo Sinclair on the other hand 🤔
Are you saying Arlo is staying anonymous because he's painting graffiti on the streets and may be arrested for it?
Weird comment. Have you seen banksy?

I’m taking a wild guess, but I’m pretty sure that the name Arlo Sinclair is a pseudonym. Not sure why that should matter.
As it’s the first release, I don’t think we should expect to know that much either.

Arlo Sinclair 🇬🇧, by astbury on Dec 5, 2021 19:12:59 GMT 1, So what we are saying is that Arlo Sinclair is a fictitious artist?
Similar to Outis from a few years back on here. Who again Freerange seemed to have an affinity with 🤔

Arlo Sinclair 🇬🇧, by amputeerich on Dec 5, 2021 20:43:52 GMT 1, I like the look of his work but won’t be trying to buy, Seems very expensive for a first release in my opinion.
Totally agree. The hype is strong with this one, I like the image but wouldn’t even be remotely tempted to drop £500 on this. Considering Connor Harrington’s latest (huge) print was £800 then it makes this seem really poor value. It’s all subjective I suppose but beyond the hype from a few members on this forum I really don’t see a future for AS.

Ha! I’ll take it you’ve got a stake in “Arlo Sinclair” because you get very defensive when someone has a negative opinion on him. He’s a one trick pony and a lot of people will get burnt badly if they spend £500 on a nobody… but as I said that’s subjective and just my opinion. You enjoy your hyping and I’ll enjoy my Conor Harrington on the wall once it arrives and gets framed. Everyone wins!

Well, it is his first release
“a lot of people will get burnt badly”
Maybe, some people buy art if they like it, rather than making money

His first print release maybe but he’s been banging out the same tired originals for a while now. I actually fall into the camp of buying art because I like it. I have no interest in buying art as an investment, my walls are filled with art that bring me immense amounts of joy and happiness. Some will have increased in value and some will have gone down, c’est la vie.
No amount of discussion could convince me that spending £500 on these prints would make a sound investment, on the other hand, if you like it then fill your boots and get it on the wall and enjoy it. Good luck with the purchase if you end up going for it! Take care.

Arlo Sinclair 🇬🇧, by ecudat on Dec 6, 2021 13:09:40 GMT 1, No axe to grind here, but think this will be a lovely print? Seen the originals previously posted and liked them, and this a good choice as his first print? Not sure the longevity of the floppy disc theme, certainly interested to see what other directions he may go with his work in the future as undoubtedly talented in my view. I like the floppy disks, and they obviously appeal in the same way as Harland Miller. I’m not keen on this Pokemon image though. Was Pokemon ever a game from that era? Maybe. But the NFT thing is a bit naff. I’d far prefer some of his other images as prints. Exactly this! NFT nonsense and irrelevance of Pokemon made this a very non-obvious or non-classic choice for me. Also prefer some others that actually have a link to the floppy disc and make sense. Also not sure where his hype train has come from (who's behind it all? - his insta account only goes back 6 months or so). But £500 for a run of 100 70 x 70s on a first print is punchy to say the least!

Will be interested to know who bought them:
- art collectors - NFT collectors - computer geeks - kids who still play Pokémon
or a combination from the above

Some print shops releases are not released in a sequential order. Early Banksys were all over the place, hence a lot of ap/dn

Yesterday, I referenced a photo which has edition number 61/100 so shouldn't have needed to (anyway, the screenshot was on a different device if that helps explain). Some people are very sceptical about an artist they have no interest in, but hopefully you can see for your own eyes they now exist. 😀
