it was good. The infinity room wasn't as good as the Tate Retrospective 5 years ago but still nice. You only get 60 seconds in there though. The rest of the exhibition is probably more rewarding imo. Her usual trippy paintings and pumpkins. worth a visit if you get a ticket

Hey all,

Not sure if others will find this interesting, but off all the crap skate decks out there, these finally seemed like something unique, limited, and actually interesting.

KUSAMA SKATE DECK


Just thought it was pretty nice to have a mirrored finish with a silk screened "net", should be a nice effect, and unlike the other 99% of stuff moma puts out there, they are limited to 500 sets, which is pretty rare for anything Kusama these days.

Great that they're limited, but not the most attractive design (although might look far better in reality)

I like Kusama's work, but I too am not a fan of the whole skate deck craze. And the imagery could be much stronger/executed better.

However, I don't get having an image by an artist with no affiliation to the street, whether Rauschenberg to Warhol to the OP...Basquiat at least makes some sense

Tbh I got it because it’s a cheap way of collecting a limited edition of her work. Of course I’d prefer it to be a solid plank of wood and not 3 separate decks.
