Paul Richard is a NYC underground legend. If you walk the streets of Brooklyn & Manhattan you’ve likely seen his work. From his sidewalk drip paintings to his outlandish signage, his presence has been felt for quite some time. He sewed canvas paintings to the backs of friends jackets and had a sort of flash mob gorilla ‘museum show’ in THE 90’s. Ahead of his time? You be the judge. Sh*t I forget which museum it was but one of the big ones. This dude used to sell massive paintings like 5’ x 5’ or 3’ x 9’ by himself out on the street. Just standing there, with this huge painting of Hannibal, or of himself, sometimes in the middle of the street. This was over a decade ago think he goes through a slightly more formal source now lol. One of the first times we spoke. I’m like mannnnn I love your work you got anything maybe a little smaller? These won’t fit in my tiny asss apartment. He’s like oh you want something practical?!?! No. He still shuns the art world...the system...not tryna play that game...and he seems to be doing well, simply based off talent and grit. And he’s talented! His oils are divine. My kind of artist, with more passion than flexibility.

What’s with critical comments on sale threads these days? For a very long time it was forum etiquette not to make disparaging comments on fellow members’ sale threads unless the seller was being in some way disingenuous or misleading.
