Thing is most people here have been spoilt with seeing all kinds of art over a long period. Its just a tiny bubble. One post on instagram gets seen by more than this who forums membership to those who are just starting to get into collecting. That generation pay no attention to here or most people.

Unfortunately most here dont understand that things have moved on since they started. This is fresh and exciting to thousands and in reach.

No one can really afford the stuff you think is good ( and in your opinion )

I absolutely agree with you. A lot of member here will probably be in our 40s/50s now. It’s very easy to be dismissive of some new work, which is not healthy for new artists and collectors. I have nothing against Blok here or the production of prints, but it doesn’t feel very transparent to me. I don’t care a great deal, but I do care if prints like this are possibly being pumped with intention of great a false demand. I’ve looked and I can’t remember seeing any work on the street or pictures until very recently. That’s not moral and fair, particularly when young collectors might get wrapped up and spent large sums. I’m not an idiot. The world is full of c**t, but why not be authentic? It will eat away at you if you’re constantly trying to do people over. Not good for the soul! Of course it’s their own free will if people want to buy, but surely the forum should help promote quality rather than (imo) this? What I find strange is the hyping by certain forum members such as FR. Banning of forum members who raise an eyebrow. The company producing these prints is also a prominent forum member which is fine, but why not just say? Come out and say this is my publishing house and that’s that. People wouldn’t care. Who gives a monkeys. I feel (and this is my opinion again) that prints are produced like Otis, like Mrs Banksy, like this with the driving intention to money grab. The money is not being sought under positive intentions. I might be wrong, but I don’t think I am. Anyway, whatever.

Regarding his works around the streets, I agree with mammal, he doesn't seem to have done many things, he seems more like a "laboratory" artist

So, I just wasted half hour of my life reading this whole thread and I would strongly advise anybody thinking of parting with any cash to read it too. This Blok character didn't collaborate with Stik and never has, he has merely copied Stik's work/idea's to make it look like he has. Even my own paintings have been on Stiks fan art site, it doesn't necessarily mean Stik endorses or even likes, it's just where it goes. Without an enormous amount of 'real' outdoor work, a couple of sell out shows or a decent gallery behind them these prints are, in my opinion, just a cash grab. It looks like the artist may have been manipulated into releasing these prints or of course it could all be 100% total and utter bullshit. Read the thread its pretty transparent.
