Didn't know that. 

Hmmm. Still haven't picked min up yet, but I don know it is framed. Need to check type of glass used.

I went for the framed version. Had no idea you could purchase unframed - assume there was a saving? Despite some on here having reservations about the quality of the glazing I'm well impressed - lovely workmanship and perfect for the piece.

Haha yes re the wife! If you know me personally you’ll know I get a little excited and then it’s a lottery if she says yes. Tbh I have bought a lot recently so I think she’s just over it... I may hang on to this piece as it really is lovely but would have to give up something else. Was just looking at it funny enough thinking it’s really striking.

To answer the question about framing: I believe it was a £350 extra option on top of the original price? You guys would probably know more than I would!

Original launch price was £2500 and I have seen them at £3k a year ago. Probably going for more now I assume?

This is a lovely print but I think the link to the 'Firebird' print is very tenuous as the only similarity is that these were produced in the same year.

Firebird is nearly double the size: 30x40 inches whereas 'Chicago Eight' is 24x18 inches. The edition size of the Chicago Eight is also 150 prints opposed to Firebird at 75 prints.

Looking through the historical sale prices of this series, most recently one of these was sold in 2017 over in the USA for $4250 + fees.

Over the last ten years the sales results have ranged from around £2.5k - £4k, linking this to a £58k firebird I do think is somewhat misleading. A lovely piece none the less which I would be very proud to have on my walls but perhaps have a think about your pricing as think you could be being somewhat unrealistic.

Fair enough I can’t say I’d seen that result however the point still stands £52k for the firebird vs £8.5k for the Chicago eight is quite a magnitude of difference.

Looking at the auction results a bit closer, the print achieved ten times the auctioneers estimate. Looking at other historical sales it would appear that this is more just a good price on the day than representative of where the market is at? Just my opinion.

We don't actually even know how much the OP is hoping / asking for, certainly not trying to scupper a sale here quite the opposite I'd actually be interested in purchasing the print if I felt the price was representative of fair market value.

Prices of her prints have been flying recently, I’d say the print is £10k+ all in at auction in good condition.

Apologies not replied on here . Looked just now and had 8 different people private messaging me who are interested , some making offers.

The one that sold yesterday in USA doesn’t look in great condition to me but maybe someone got a good deal . Looking for £15k . If I don’t get then will sell to the highest offer I get out the 8 people interested . Already 1 of them has offered £10k

A Sideways print went for £6,875 at Christie’s last year. Although I am slightly biased for higher valuations as have one! It is a lovely print if you do have the opportunity to own one.
