Hello YoJoe- Thank you for Posting pics. You actually have my IK 04 Rubik- pictured... It is #87. As you can see in the picture it has been mounted to glass. (See what I mean Matt) Heres the big question- The caption is it fake? My Antistatic bag is the proper brand and date. Supershield Apr 2004- but the printed label on the back looked off to me. I have 2 other kits, but they are much newer which could explain the variation. But the fact that it has the proper anti-static bag certainly does make me feel a lot better. Thanks guys.  Also after looking at some of these other other kits- the label does look right.  my newer kits have more of a glossy label, and this one is more flat- threw me off.  I feel much much better now!

Phew after seeing another member's post about getting burned on kits, I had my concerns, but everything looks 100% Legit- except for a Sh!tty Framing Job- which the seller admitted to LOL.

good on you for doing this.. i love looking at all these kits. for the "older" kits. vienna and the runner always my favorite.. for the newer (regular) kits I actually really like the last 3.

some kits just havent aged well and some i was never a fan of even at release( looking at you 3d)

Pleasure- I'll be back to finish it off in a day or two. We're in the middle of a heatwave in Australia 😂

I like most of them, but of course have favourites; have to disagree on 3D though- that was my first kit, from source, following an OS trip that included Paris. It'll probably always be the sentimental favourite for that reason. I think seeing them in person can change the perception quite a bit. The black background and off-white Invader tiles are matte, and have a really pleasing texture, with just the red & blue eyes shiny. It looks great! Will *finally* have mine framed in the new year, so will have some pics to share.

from my perspective: this "framing job" was definitively done by a dilettante and this valuable artpiece is serious injured!
as mentioned before from another forum member: the static bag, the paper-guideline is "part of the art" and pays to the provenance!
(I personally prefer only sealed, intact kits with a clear provenance)

If I have the choice between yours and a still sealed one I would pay 50% more for the sealed one.
between yours and the pics of the nice framed kit (you showed the framer as a reference) I would pay 20 to 30 % more for the nice framed one.
(in a decade of years these percentages of the current value will be multiplied probably)

good luck to you for an agreement/compensation!!!
fingers crossed that you`ll come to a gentle conclusion!

I agree that 3D is one of the better ones. The doubled signature on the back is pretty funky!!
