Tate Ward selling fakes!, by hellfo on Dec 23, 2020 10:21:53 GMT 1, Well, good points you all, but... There are MILLIONS of auction houses, expecially online, selling fakes. MILLIONS of fakes. Just to let you know. Ebay is an auction house. 😂😜 Except ebay doesn't charge 25% + VAT buyers premium on the hammer price. Or Present themselves as a specialist in the field or urban art sales
And for these reasons, they can sell fakes.

Tate Ward selling fakes!, by Lazarus II on Dec 23, 2020 10:53:06 GMT 1, No, this is probably genuine because... (a) they say it is by Bansky and (b) they agree that a Pest Control certificate will be received. This also says it is by Banksy and is 100% fake Also says ARR (Artist resale rights) which you lead the buyer to believe its real. And on the HC - COA pending doesn't mean in anyway that it will be granted by PC or will be sent to TW another can of worms, presume TW will need to reclaim any ARR that has been paid for any confirmed fakes that have been sold ? Not to mention VAT and so on...,

Here's a very clear explanation of After and the other phrases that auction houses use to describe versions of art.

And on the HC - COA pending doesn't mean in anyway that it will be granted by PC or will be sent to TW This one is dubious. They are obviously saying this is a Banksy but without any authentication or promise of a Pest Control certificate, , I wouldn't bid on it. If you know this is a fake then you should easily be able to get your money back. As far as ARR is concerned, you pay that when the hammer price is above 1K euros, regardless of if the artwork is genuine or frake. If a fake goes for over 1K then you still pay ARR. Basically, the people who run the ARR thing have no way of knowing if any particular item sold was genuine or not. I give up.
I can only assume that you run, or have an affiliation to an auction house. Every comment you make absolves the auction house of checking if anything that they sell is legitimate.

Mate according your earlier posts they wouldn’t refund as you argued their wording would protect them .. I’m not sure why you are so supportive of people being scammed for thousands of pounds??

You are wrong on the Petrol Bomb due to the Attribution nomenclature used but Tate Ward. (Thanks for the link whoever posted it)
You are wrong on the moral position of the auction house and the Tate Ward employee selling them himself on.
You are so wrong that I am led to deduce that you also believe that the world is flat!! But actually it is more likely yours is a multiple account of a Tate Ward person. It really is very tiresome.

Tate Ward selling fakes!, by tab1 on Dec 23, 2020 16:18:08 GMT 1, If anyone has any questions regarding provenance or condition please get in touch with Harry@tateward.com We will send additional pictures/video to prospective buyers. On the issue of the correct attribution of Banksy Ephemera this is currently under discussion. Artsy have been contacted via Pest Control in a wider effort to address the large number of fakes that feature on their platform. They have asked that all non COA works are designated “After Banksy”. Pieces such as Boxset’s, Wall Sections which come with receipts which are officially sold by Pest Control/Walled of Hotel are clearly not “After” so how they’re attributed in the long term needs to be decided. In the interim we may change all ephemera to “After Banksy” on Artsy to comply with their request. All of the ephemera is checked and examined by us pre sale. We value our reputation and the trust buyers place in us so if we’ve listed a work we are confident in its authenticity. Further to that if any work is proven to be fake or counterfeit we will issue a full refund. I hope this reassures any buyers to bid with confidence.
Try contacting Harry? Interesting pest control contacting sales platforms , few after banksy items released this year

Man you are losing it and are not that good at trying to accuse me of editing my posts.
I don't need to as I have nothing to hide or no games to play. Just facts.
My post in which you are quoted is directly above yours with the line you say I deleted there for all to see. Then when you quoted it you deleted the line and then accused me of doing it in your own editable post
I'd say sneakily but it wasn't very sneaky or well done.
But you are sneakily taking this thread off topic and burying it in inane posts.

Tate Ward selling fakes!, by tab1 on Dec 23, 2020 20:50:11 GMT 1, A privileged community that ignores pandemic issues , what do you expect ?! It's fascinating that in a world where paper trails exist and living artists and galleries can authenticate works, people go for the stuff that doesn't have any of that. It's like removing all the doors from your home and wondering who all the strange people are inside and why you keep getting robbed.
It makes sense in what you state , but the pest control authenticated market is out of reach of all the people buying these types of items .
Just needs honest people in charge of the market organisers

Tate Ward selling fakes!, by orenic on Dec 30, 2020 10:00:14 GMT 1, As a point of interest, I was going through the process of selling a B through one of the Bond Street Houses and as part of the sale process they get Pest Control in to check the work and provide a new COA and destroy the original one (which they insist upon). Not exactly authentication but as near as damn it. That would be a respectable auction house that isn’t deceitful, conscious about maintaining their reputation and not in this for a quick buck. Tate Ward are none of these.
Anyone hear anything back about the Warhol’s a from Tate ?

I’m pretty sure there will be police action taken..... also the fact that they are not responding about all the fake Warhol’s won’t look good for them.
Unless they have contacted all the Warhol buyers and made the situation right.
Anyone know?

Tate Ward selling fakes!, by Rubberneck on Jan 4, 2021 17:21:31 GMT 1, I think most people want to give TW the benefit of the doubt however they certainly need to be a bit more forthcoming in regards to action taken against the perpetrators, how successful they have been in compensating buyers etc.. no news in this case is certainly not good news and certainly sows seeds that they themselves are complicit in the fraud.

Tate Ward selling fakes!, by Rubberneck on Jan 4, 2021 18:10:09 GMT 1, I think most people want to give TW the benefit of the doubt however they certainly need to be a bit more forthcoming in regards to action taken against the perpetrators, how successful they have been in compensating buyers etc.. no news in this case is certainly not good news and certainly sows seeds that they themselves are complicit in the fraud. I would expect they have taken legal advice on this and even Lionel Hutz, Attorney At Law would advise his client to stop posting on here. For sure but they could post that rather than you speculate that is happening
