I very much doubt that this forum has any effect on the market whatsoever. I have had one enquiry on this thread (not a bad thing) which says it all considering the artist is so popular at present.

It’s like everyone here just copies what Marquez and Chehebar buy or post on their IGs. Jordy Kerwick is just another ‘art bro’ buy. I was offered Kerick on primary with* discount. I went to check a couple of paintings in person to make sure and the work looks a bit shit. It’s flavor of the week like Nava/Bozo etc etc.

Is it, though? I don’t see any more number of paintings available from him than any other active, working artist; in fact, quite the opposite. Of the few paintings that do come up, in shows, auctions etc, they’re instantly purchased.

A market being flooded would mean there’s plenty of his work readily available, which isn’t true. Perhaps the attention he’s getting and prices he’s achieving make it seem that way, but mathematically speaking it’s not the case.

There is plenty on the secondary market, but you have to be connected with dealers to access it (obviously).
