Imbue π¬π§ 24Hr Art Club, Coca Cola, Virgin Mary, by ilmambo on Nov 28, 2013 15:48:48 GMT 1, Two years ago or sometime like that he offered something for free on twitter when he reached 1k followers. I happened to be that follower, he asked for my details, I was very happy and said thanks multiple times, then everything went quiet and I figured he shipped it. 2-3 weeks later I bought a VNA magazine on ebay and when I paid on paypal I noticed that the email address was Imbue's, I just paid but didn't say anything. 7-10 days later since I paid for my ebay item I was still waiting for it to be shipped, so I contacted him again through ebay asking for an ETA and also politely asked if he already shipped the gift he promised on twitter, since I was the same guy... never got a reply, it took him a few days and finally marked the ebay item as shipped and I received it without problem. meanwhile he deleted the twitter post where he offered a gift to his 1000th follower and never ever replied to any of my email/DM/ebay messages. I didn't complain or emailed him further because it was a gift but was just very poor form me thinks.

Imbue π¬π§ 24Hr Art Club, Coca Cola, Virgin Mary, by Adam J Higgins on Dec 2, 2013 23:53:57 GMT 1, I brought an original and a mystery tube off him last year and waited weeks for them to turn up. Sent several emails and messaged on Facebook. Only when I sent a email saying I was going to claim my money back from PayPal did I get a dispatch email for the original and a couple of days later a dispatch for the mystery tube. He never contacted once through out. Has put me right off him.

Imbue π¬π§ 24Hr Art Club, Coca Cola, Virgin Mary, by fattyramone on Dec 3, 2013 0:38:00 GMT 1, He's rubbish at getting things things sent out in anywhere near a decent time , ive practically stopped collecting his stuff now because of the distain he seems to hold his customers in.
He did once reply quickly to an enquiry of mine to wether he had sent out my vending machine mini-wood print , apologising for the delay ...the item still didn't arrive so i chased him up a week later (many times) and he never had the courtesy to reply again ...in the end I got my money back via Paypal claim
Ive also taken 2 mystery tubes separately and both times they've taken nearly a month to arrive , which for a uk-uk transaction consisting of already printed left-overs , he cant even use the excuse "the printers have let me down" as all he is doing is selling off whats already been printed?

Claim back the money by PayPal, fine, but how many times have big corporate companies let you down, you all fail to mention them and they have help desks and support lines, maybe just maybe he gets himself in a muddle sometimes and loses his footing with orders, bloomin eck coming on here tearing holes out of an up and coming artist is really not nice dudes....
Especially if you have purchased off him before and he didn't let you down....... Makes no sense,
Do I know him personally, No Do I buy from him, yeah couple of bits,
No worries

Imbue π¬π§ 24Hr Art Club, Coca Cola, Virgin Mary, by razorwire on Dec 3, 2013 15:51:42 GMT 1, I've only purchased from him once and the item arrived very promptly, and 2 weeks as per the OP is certainly jumping the gun.
However generally speaking I don't think it's unreasonable for people to feel agreaved if they haven't received something from any seller a month or so down the line, especially if there's no communication and emails are just ignored. That's not aimed at Imbue, as I said my only dealing with him was spot on, but it only takes a minute to update people - even if it's a quick email saying "apologies - item will be delayed for a few weeks". People are generally fine with a long wait if they are told what's happening, it's lack of communication that frustrates and infuriates people. We all struggle with time and of course things crop up unexpectedly but if you are so busy you can't take a few minutes a week to respond to emails then maybe things need a rethink as it does put people off coming back (look at forum favourites Laminate for further proof!).
I've been waiting on a print from elsewhere whereby I was told it'll be in the post within 3 business days, and a month later there's still no sign of it. Frustratingly it was an intended birthday present for someone, so I've sent a couple of polite emails and heard nothing. If the order page had said "please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery" or similar I'd not be at all bothered, it's more the fact that no-one has taken a minute to let me know or reply to my emails rather than the delay itself.

If he hasn't got the courtesy to reply to inquiring emails after 3-4 weeks waiting for uk-uk with prints that are already printed..(mystery tubes) then sod him , if others then enquire about his reliability others are entitled to chime in with views on his lackadaisical method of doing business.
If you want to believe artists are somehow entitled to treat you like shit because they are suffering artists then fair enough thats your prerogative , just don't foist your hippy ideals on others.

Imbue π¬π§ 24Hr Art Club, Coca Cola, Virgin Mary, by Happy Shopper on Dec 3, 2013 16:04:39 GMT 1, Yep, buying art direct from artists isn't like buying from Amazon, or even a gallery (who should be organised but often aren't!)
I bought a poster from Gallerie Perrotin over a month ago, heard nothing about it, very slow to reply to emails, I asked for a tracking number and got no reply. But I just got a letter from the post office saying they have my parcel (it had been addressed wrongly). So, even big galleries don't always offer great service but you have to live with it. It's not life or death!!

In other news, I waited over a month for my Borf print from Laz, only to have to take it back as it's damaged! That's annoying, but I'm not sending in Trading Standards... yet!

Imbue π¬π§ 24Hr Art Club, Coca Cola, Virgin Mary, by Emile on Dec 3, 2013 21:56:25 GMT 1, I don't really understand the people defending the fact that someone who makes his/her business out of selling art online doesn't ship for weeks and/or doesn't respond to inquiries for weeks. If you choose this as your (main) income then do it properly.. don't do it poorly. That just annoys people.
Oh well, maybe that's just me...

Imbue π¬π§ 24Hr Art Club, Coca Cola, Virgin Mary, by Dan Kitchener on Jan 20, 2014 21:24:25 GMT 1, Have to agree with comments about cutting some slack for artists. It's difficult for an artist to self release prints and keep on top of orders, as well as general admin, creating new work, publicising and everything else that essentially goes with running a business as an independent artist. So naturally there can be delays in sending and receiving work, I hold my hand up as on occasion I do have this problem, especially when I am swamped with orders, and have commissions and other commercial work on top, it can become overwhelming if you don't have the luxury of a gallery or manager to help! I do personally try and email buyers if there is a delay, and explain honestly what has caused it, I then also always email the buyer when it's shipped, so as mentioned above, having no response email for 3 or 4 weeks isn't a good way to treat buyers, but do give artists a break!

Imbue π¬π§ 24Hr Art Club, Coca Cola, Virgin Mary, by choca69 on Jan 21, 2014 22:45:10 GMT 1, Hi chaps,
You may remember me selling my Banksy "Silver Flag" to BlackApple a few weeks ago or so?
Anyway, I have way too any prints for the size of my gaff, so I'm now selling my off a few of my prints to raise some dosh for framing my "keeper" prints - oh the irony!
My fifth offering is an Imbue "Virgin" triptych, this is "signed" with original receipt and in original tube.
Numbered by hand and in A1 condition - one of my fave Imbue's! Bought direct from No Walls (Imbue), Brighton..
Selling unframed so can post or I can meet you in London (Clerkenwell \ Farringdon).
They are each 70cm x 50cm only one of 6 sets of three ever made (colours are blue, pink and black).
It is going up on eBay on the 25th but I thought I'd give you all first refusal before then.
See more here:

"VIRGIN " signed -Limited edition of 10 Β with original receipt and in original tube.
Numbered by hand and in A1 condition - one of my fave Imbue's! Bought direct from No Walls (Imbue), Brighton..
Letter, receipt and three COA's from No Walls come with.
Selling unframed so can post or I can meet you in London (Clerkenwell \ Farringdon).
They are each 70cm x 50cm only one of 6 sets of three ever made (colours are blue, pink and black).
They are going up on eBay too but I thought I'd give you all first refusal before then.
See more here:

All in A1 condition, still very bright & kept out of light, these are great prints that looks awesome!
I'm open to offers over Β£175 cash on collection from EC1 or delivered anywhere in UK for an extra Β£10 (Special Delivery)
Cheers!
