3D Originals on Laz Inc Website, by obaki69 on Nov 21, 2020 4:30:38 GMT 1, How much do you guys think these are going for? Anytime I see "POA" or "Contact our sales team" it makes me think $20k+. Would love an original or AP, but I'm not sure they come up that often or if they do $$$$$.

Absolutely 100% there: Arguably one of those most influential artists on the UK creative art scene is worth less than a well-aged dog turd. Bravo!

3D Originals on Laz Inc Website, by pjc on Nov 21, 2020 18:55:56 GMT 1, Questions Iโve always had...
If diehard Banksy collectors really thought there was even a small chance that 3D is Banksy or 3D is any part of a Banksy โcollectiveโ, why doesnโt his art sell for more or in higher demand?
To take that a step further, Banksy and others that command very high prices for their work are on record stating what an influence 3D has been on their career. Why is this not a reason for collectors to want to own his art?
Man I feel like in any other art genre if someone got those kind of props from some of the most highly regarded contemporaries, their artwork would be in much higher demand and selling for much higher prices.
Please advise.

Am not upset at all. It was a bizarre statement which didnโt have logic: If I spent ยฃ500 for a piece, itโs not going to be worth ยฃ400 the following day. He has an influence that transcends paint and doesnโt require the support of major galleries to โspinโ and encourage a spineless frenzy, driven by marketing PR and the Far East. If thatโs what you desire, then please go about your business, With no re-Kaws and have a good Doodle. If itโs using an art collection, based around commodities, which is my perception to being the root to the statement, it becomes a tad dull and not really why these Boards were instigated. Now, donโt get me wrong, it absolutely fills me with joy that a Club Kid or Skater from the 90โs can now buy a house.....based upon a a chance purchase of โsome pictures they got from some Bristolian for ยฃ90โ, including one of some Girl with a Balloonโ ...but the original statement is far from this, leaving excitement at the door.

Am not sure mate, but would suggest between $5000 - 10000: Based on the Laz โFire Saleโ a few years ago....Although Stevie-boy seems to be going a bit mad with his prices of late

Just so Iโm on record - I didnโt say I thought he was Banksy, which I personally have always thought ridiculous and probably something heโs been kind enough to keep his mouth shut about even if he has plenty he would want to say. My point was more with the psychology/general herd mentality by some on this site, as well as his high regard amongst his peers...

3D Originals on Laz Inc Website, by sfnyc on Nov 21, 2020 21:11:50 GMT 1, I don't collect Kaws or Mr Doodle so I don't even know why you're going there to make a point? And if we go by your logic then why is there even a value to some color paint on stretched textile? There is no solid market for 3D and saying someone should put months of salary into a piece by him is bad advice in my opinion, especially in an economically challenging time when people are hurting, unless it is money you are fine never seeing again.

3D Originals on Laz Inc Website, by sfnyc on Nov 21, 2020 21:40:28 GMT 1, Ps: OP check the auction history on the artist. Everything of his go unsold, even at 100gbb and I m not even sure a low tier auction would accept taking his works in consignment. Christies tried selling a painting at 1000-2000 and it went unsold too.
If you want a work from the artist my guess is at this stage you can contact him directly and skip Laz.

I didnโt say you did, I but if it hit an aspirational nerve, then thatโs not my concern. Again, your statement relates to commodity: Itโs not something which drives me, although am old enough to understand Risk. I never encouraged anybody to part with their money therefore your Virtual Signalling is out of context and desperate.

Spot on. I like his stuff because of his mark on the UK street art scene and his music. Same for Blek. Just like music, find the artists that inspired the people you like then buy their art/music. I am a massive Oasis fan so for 20+ years this is what I've done with music. Applying the same pattern with art.

My perception is that given multi-millionaire, who could afford (both financially and from a negative PR perspective) to reduce Massive Attacks Carbon Footprint by cancelling/rescheduling their Tour has no incentive to discuss the matter any further. This site didnโt drive the frenzy, but it was Laz in LA, The Far/Middle East using it as a commodity and also a great opportunity to launder cash...and then the blighters subsequently joined this site to tap in to the community: To be fair, you canโt blame them for that, as life is all about Darwin.

I'm sorry for your loss but no reason for being so aggressive. Value doesn't justify everything dude.

I know you donโt: Maybe thatโs the point. Am not bitter or aggressive: I challenged your initial statement. as I perceived it to be not considered. The narrative has gone from referencing Art as a commodity to, โValue doesnโt justify everything dudeโ. Am not bitter about Banksy at all: Quite to the contrary for a good reason, as per my previous statement..

At the end of the day 3D (Robert Del Naja) will be the artist museums/serious collectors actually want. We just aren't there yet --story is still being told.
People have been asking LAZ for prices on those OG 3Ds for a very long time just because they are up doesn't mean they are for sale.
At the end of the day 3D (Robert Del Naja) will be the artist museums/serious collectors actually want. We just aren't there yet --story is still being told.

To follow up on this, you think Del Naja is ok with this if true?
