On the flip side Futura is NYC based where the museum is so he probably could have signed these in person.
I have a feeling that they were printed in Japan in which case Futura would have had to send them signature stickers. But still strange since half the prints were shipped to NYC. Maybe they didn't want have of them signed on the print and the other half on stickers. Made more sense to keep it consistent?
Either way its weird and a slap in the face to anyone spending more than 2k on this!

Actually I am pretty sure this is so each Futura signature looks perfect.
It's extra, not less.
Admittedly, I would have preferred that he sign directly...but I don't think it's a sign of laziness, more likely a sign of his being a perfectionist. My opinion of course.
I like these actually and the price was fair for silkscreened edition.
