Banksy Keep It Real small canvas, by Deleted on Jan 12, 2021 13:26:35 GMT 1, Question for you Ben: do you think the one found seems real?
What are you talking about Lroy? I am a big collector of Banksy and many other artists. I signed up for the first time on this site a few days ago. My name is Ben G... Keep your stupid opinions to yourself. I was hesitant to add, but thought I would help out where I can. Not wasting any more time on this if people are going to ask stupid questions. Have a good day.

Banksy Keep It Real small canvas, by Lroy on Jan 12, 2021 13:33:20 GMT 1, Why are you so agressive ?!
Stupid questions ? Who are you to talk to me as this ?! I Thought that you were the poster ( some people are waiting for the Pest control issue ) a,d taht you have had the COA?? That's all ! I even told you congrats !
I known a Ben G that was friend with me on Facebook, are you still ?
Anyway I don't care, I made a mistake surely, I don't care of all these accounts, I just now don't understand why you post this on the thread of the poster ?... I have no god, no master, sir. And I don't care about the power of money. " stupid questions " tsss...
Ok, I apologise if I came across aggressive but I don't appreciate your question or the fact I had 6 posts. Everyone has to start on this site at some point. I have gone out of my way to hopefully shed some light on this thread. I'm new to this and thought I posted in the right place, where the title is 'Banksy Keep it Real small canvas'. I am not your friend and know nobody on this site, neither do I have Facebook. By the way you do care about the power of money, hence your first question are you rich? Yes, I'm rich in love, life, happiness and presence. If the work ever gets sold I have more £. Big woop. If anyone wants any further clarification or guidance i'm here to help as much as I can. I've collected Banksy for since 2008 and have canvases/crudes/cardboard/prints e.t.c Have a good day and god bless I have apologized too. Speaking about Banksy ' s art is so seirous sometimes, I guess the man is not like that.
Anway, If I spoke about power of Money or collectors, it's because I felt humiliated, and felt condescension and contempt, and got pissed off, that's all. Now all is ok, don't act.
- As for the 6 comments or others, I am not the only one to doubt, and this is indeed a recurring problem - we have had the case in the past with trolls (not you of course), this which can give a little paranoia. If the moderators did the housework ...
Anyway, let's go back to our sheep and very nice work by Banksy, well done. Great !

Really? I think it’s more likely a different stencil was used than a hobbyists making his own copy just so happened to find the same exact type of canvas.

A lot of similarities in the canvas and frame, but the OP doesn't have a number on it like the real one...it looks like the number was written directly onto the frame which could have either faded or wiped away.

The OPs one looks painted rather than sprayed. There doesn't seem to be craquelure either and the front is too clean.

There doesn't seem to be craquelure either and the front is too clean. I wouldn’t place much weight on the cleanliness, would’ve been easier to gently clean the front with some water than the reverse. Whether or not it is hand painted is a flag, but can’t rule out it being legitimate even if hand painted. Maybe I’m just placing too much weight on the canvas but I feel even if I knew what the correct canvas should be, and tried to track it down to paint a fake I’d have a hell of a time. Having the correct canvas and a good enough painting that all of us who’ve seen tons of crappy fakes over the wonder if it could be legit.. seems like a winner.

Come in every size imaginable - including, size: 10" x 8" / 25.4cm x 20.3cm

Banksy Keep It Real small canvas, by andypandy on Jan 12, 2021 14:55:36 GMT 1, Look at them side by side and they look completely different.
The one that was from boot sale has no legs etc and the stencil looks different (the face, the lettering)
were these all sprayed from different stencils?
The only thing one could say was that it could have been one of the number that were disregarded...

Banksy Keep It Real small canvas, by andypandy on Jan 12, 2021 15:26:55 GMT 1, This is starting to do my nut in
so the artist stopped making these and we don't know for sure how many of the 15 were finished?
the one with the COA above doesn't look like any of the 5 in the photo from terryf**kwitt (in my eyes the boot sale one now actually looks more similar to the image from the show)
The one in the middle has different writing from the one with COA

Banksy Keep It Real small canvas, by jamieb on Jan 12, 2021 16:17:49 GMT 1, If you showed me the car boot one and the one with PC POA for the first time today and asked me which was painted 18 years I would say the car boot one.
The one with POA honestly looks like it could have been painted yesterday and is a pristine as the day it was painted.
I am not infering anything by this at all, just that's it's mad how different things can look.

Banksy Keep It Real small canvas, by pfffffffffft on Jan 12, 2021 20:32:30 GMT 1, I'm going to throw this out there...
Years ago...probably 10-ish years ago I was friendly with a member here here that had a very early small canvas. I think it may have been a Heavy Weaponry but not 100% sure, it was definitely that era.
He wanted to sell it so he went to try to get a certificate from PC and they told him something along the lines of "the artist wasn't happy with that piece" or similar language and they were going to decline to issue a COA. They didn't come out and say it was authentic but they also didn't say it wasn't. They offered to swap it with him for a print, I can't remember which one. I also remember telling him to request another canvas of the same size. (it was very small) He was also asked not to publicize it.
We both wondered if there was a much smaller scale backdoor print issue for canvas editions at the time. I don't know if that is at play with this work but just wanted to mention this as there may be some members closer to that camp with more knowledge that this might ping their memory.
