Nina Chanel Abney ๐บ๐ธ Race, Gender, Politics, Homophobia , by Poster Bob on Apr 28, 2023 13:55:17 GMT 1, Not long to go before the printing window opens and weโve got an exciting update! The metadata for printed NFTs will be updated after launch with a new โsignedโ property while Ninaโs signature will be added to the NFT. So the print is in fact signed? The above states that the NFT will be given a signed property, not that the print will be signed.

So there's a digital signature on the digital image? Exactly! The print is not signed, the NFT is signed digitally. But this will not be instantaneously. The metadata should be update in 2 weeks approximately and then the signature will appear.

Nina Chanel Abney ๐บ๐ธ Race, Gender, Politics, Homophobia , by Newar on Apr 28, 2023 17:40:35 GMT 1, there is still something i'm missing.
This was already a nft project made in July 2022 (1200 mint on 5000 for 0.5eth with the floor price drop to 0.25eth). And now they decide to put it in physical world by adding 900euros to get it printed unikely. It's still a good deal the have a unique piece of Nina 900e and some image are pretty iconic.
Guess it's a good way to salvage something about the nft project (and the artist image).
Did long time owner maybe got some kind of reward and maybe a free print or a discount ?

Nina Chanel Abney ๐บ๐ธ Race, Gender, Politics, Homophobia , by gus on Apr 29, 2023 14:07:16 GMT 1, People collect all kinds of shit.
all sorts of cards from baseball and football to magic and pokemon, cars, watches... barf bags, celebrity hair, nails, fossilised feces... yes, people collect the weirdest of shit.
These days much of our lives is spent online. Harder to 'flex' online. NFTs help with this. A <checks notes> Monkey jpeg is the online equivalent of a rolex (or maybe some uglier variant like richard mille).
I've had no one to my house today, but plenty of people have seen me online from here to twitter to insta etc. most of my family lives on the other side of the world, but with NFTs they can see some 'art' I have collected, see my monkey jpeg, trump nfts, etc.
People buy art / images on deviant art - a lot. NFTs is similar to this also, but with an immutable onchain provenance.
I think it makes sense, on many levels, and that NFTs won't go away. But also the skepticism makes sense, and don't think that is anything new. I'm sure lot's of people were skeptical of graffiti or street art and wondered who and why folks were buying it.
