Ly_Painter Solo show in Los Angeles, by lv90210 on Oct 11, 2020 9:05:35 GMT 1, Luckily everyone has different tastes in everything, art, books, wine, women/men  As said before, my personal view on an artist and his/her style is that he/she can be recognized immediately. That - for me - makes it a valuable art/artist. If you walk on the street or go to a friend and see a Findac, Noir, Fairey, Banksy, Eine, Tide, and in this case LY, you recognize them right away. Independently from liking/understanding it or not, I think nobody can deny that there is a shift of the limelight to the eastern artists/market at the moment - and there's a lot of money involved, also because big money is in China/HK/Korea right now. Also positive note:The show was perfectly and safely Covid proof - and I loved it. I didn't have to touch even a door knob. D.

It’s good to see Ly’s works being exported. She is well known in Japan for years, with few murals for Tokyo citizen to enjoy.
Looking forward to seeing her developing her character and style in thr coming years.

I was there on opening day and they were sold before the show opened.
Quite a nice show though, very great line work.
& to the haters above, grow up. Everyone likes different art, doesn’t mean you have to spread your negative comments.
