Couldn’t agree more. Also, please read the original post again as it is very clear the proceeds of this reluctant sale are necessary to secure the seller’s own well-being. I’m confident that seller will use the money wisely and pay forward whatever they can. I know I will be if my prints sell at current market prices - my Mum will be getting a long deserved holiday and a friend will be getting a cheque for a good amount of money that was loaned to me when I needed it most.

Are we also asking if galleries are donating to organizations in need? Do people ask if Christie’s or Sotheby’s record sales have percentages going to others, or just back into already wealthy individuals pockets who own these auction houses?
