What would be the reasoning behind that, accidentally numbering two prints the same?

Bonham's Pop X Culture October 8, by singerstu on Sept 20, 2020 12:54:20 GMT 1, artists proof / duplicate number. What would be the reasoning behind that, accidentally numbering two prints the same? It’s quite common. I guess a POW we’re not that organised. I have a couple of prints that are marked AP/DN. some people think it makes them worth more, personally I don’t think it makes any difference.

Bonham's Pop X Culture October 8, by Jonny Wednesday on Sept 20, 2020 13:10:16 GMT 1, artists proof / duplicate number. What would be the reasoning behind that, accidentally numbering two prints the same? yes, spot on. I've got one myself. Had to be sent to Pest Control for verification when I applied for a COA. Came back renumbered as AP /DN with explanation that it was an accidental duplicate number. They did suggest it was more valuable but I'm a little skeptical about that myself.

A copy of an artist's work with their "permission".

I had previously only seen "after..." for deceased artists (such as Basquiat) and assumed it was an official posthumous release by the estate, but JK is still very much alive "After" is usually used to mean "in the style of". I've never seen it used to denote the artist is deceased. Makes sense, I had only seen it relating to deceased artists before this auction so had put 2 and 2 together to mean it was some kind of estate release

It says COA ‘in the process of being issued’, so it doesn’t even have a.COA and it’s cropped. I guess that’s why the lie estimate, but..... I bet it still sells over £400k

Probably. Cheaper to frame than a standard size also.

Way to turn a negative into a positive. The cost of framing is always a concern, even when you're shelling out hundreds of thousands.
