The bid price is before any fees. When the auction closes they will ad buyer fees. 

The price you as a seller will get is, the last "bid price" less any fees you agreed with the auction house.

Do not confuse the last bid price with the final price Sotheby's advertise after the auction, as those prices are with buyers fees.

Thanks for this, I was following the bid price and assumed a percentage would be taken off. 

I was looking through auction results for my 2 unsigned and the prices were unbelievable but makes sense now that this includes buyers fees.

Still even with the buyers fees taken off it seems like the values have shot up recently over a really short period of time.

Thanks for your help, looking forward to seeing where these end up tomorrow.

Hey John...  I think you've had all the answers to your questions as I read through the thread.  

So did you consign the pieces into this auction without knowing how the auction works and what prices are shown on the site once the auction goes live... you put your Banksys in not knowing how much of the price displayed by Sotheby's you would receive?

And, if you've been in the game from the start, picking up your pieces from POW drops... I assume you know all about the CGT that you will need to factor in to monies received.

you just watch it on their website, each item has a countdown timer bar and it’ll either expire or get extended if someone bids at last minute. It’ll all become clear as you look at the website live. Some of them will get extended numerous times😊

Slow day at the home office other than US treasuries imploding so:

For all you stats gurus. Average bid is $114.5k with a standard deviation of $85k. big SD given the mix here of AP and unsigned.
Average number of bids is 16 with a standard deviation of 6.7
Highest number of bids is Kate Moss with 29 then both Choose your Weapon with 26 (wonder why same number of bids could be 2 people want both?) Interesting to see if these may have aggressive final levels given the high number of bids
