No they are not. I’m just asking if anyone else has heard similar. Asian collectors and galleries seem to have a thing for graphic street art and as I had heard it from two different sources I was wondering if others had heard similar. No conspiracy theory or rampant promotion. He hardly needs it.

Not to mention the obvious of kaws etc. Is that why Mark Drew seemed to blow up overnight too? I bought my first print off him for like $50 US and then it seemed in 12 months his prices had dramatically increased

I don't know if the rumor about dFace is real, but it wouldn't surprise me a bit. I hear (and notice) a lot of movement regarding the older generation of artists in streetart. It seems everyone over there is stocking up in the hope of finding the next Warhol or Kaws.

There are collectors who withdraw from the market as soon as Flippers are on the job, but come back as soon as the market is clean.
Dface is not a no name player, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a few big collectors coming in.

In all honesty, that's what I thought about Parra too (and I own my fair share of him) until all of a sudden a bunch of Asian collectors contacted me through IG to see if I had any stuff for sale.
The prices at auctions have been all over the place lately, so I wouldn't be surprised if that part of the market is just stocking up everything they can find.
