Silver flags condition issues, by jp226 on Jul 17, 2020 17:00:42 GMT 1, Heyy I’m looking to get my first banksy print. I feel like Flags (silver) is my best bet, yes looking for a “bargain banksy”.. preferably something with condition issues or not mint hahaha. Looking to put up on my wall, and never sell. Also loving this forum.. everyone is very welcoming and so informative! No such thing as "Bargain Banksy" these days....

Silver flags condition issues, by JockoLad on Jul 17, 2020 21:12:05 GMT 1, I tried to sell my Flags in 2008 via eBay for £750. Sadly, the sale fell through as I broke the glass of the frame it was contained in so the buyer withdrew their offer.
Absolutely no condition issues, Now reframed and worth a considerable amount more in the current market.
Always thought clumsiness was a negative personality trait but it served me well in this instance.
Ps. Not looking to sell.

Just to play devils advocate here(and holder of a wrinkled flags).... Plenty of ambiguity with the phrase “bargain”. Maybe, “looking to pay a bit less for a non mint copy” would be better? Then the question is, what is the current value and how much is lost due to damage? Answering these questions might give the op an expectation of what a “paying a bit less” looks like in these times of weekly price jumps.

I was genuinely flat broke at that point in time. A good friend even offered to buy it from me with the agreement that it would still be mine but I could buy it back at some point at the same price - very, very decent. Didn’t end up selling in the end and managed to keep hold of it. Still think it is very much under-appreciated and under-valued. The number of good quality prints available must have reduced quite a bit over time.
