I know exactly what you mean. The Viegas piece is only two editions totalling 105 prints and I NEVER have any success with GP releases even with higher numbered releases so I’m not holding out a great deal of hope. It almost makes you want to try your hand at each and hope that you come away with at least one. This is the only other release this week that I’d be after and I’m toying with trying for it because at least there are several variants and decent(ish) numbers released for a number of them.

Q. I’ve noticed that you paint a lot of portraits of asian women, (often wearing masks) why is that?
A. “The path to painting asian women started with the Vitry murals… both of which are women by the way. The piece on the door was of a very young girl who’s photo I found on flickr.
I loved her look and wanted to continue to work with her after painting her that first time. That was the genesis of the idea… the mask came a couple of years later and I guess u could say was the final piece in the puzzle. I never tell anyone its meaning though as that would spoil the mystery.”

Just refresh at the right time, make sure you are already logged in and have saved card details. Managed to order mine and there was still main edition left for a few seconds after. Just slow people or slow internet I guess.
Will be trying nuno and whatson too.

Have you given any thought to how you might frame this? I am toying with a red spacer to match the mask but I’m not sure if that might be a bit much. Probably best to wait until I actually have the print in hand mind you. Getting ahead of myself!!!

Main Edition took a good few minutes to go. I was refreshing the white/gold version and it was not available for the first minute, so I even had time to check the main edition which was available bang on time, go back to the white edition, buy one, go back to the homepage and they still had main editions left, they sold out about 20 seconds later.
Just poor skills of refreshing, always start 5 mins before the release and do nothing else but refresh that page, make sure you are already logged in to the shop before adding to cart, make sure you have saved addresses too - I got through the whole checkout process in about 10 seconds by clicking 4 buttons and not having to enter any details.

My method is certainly not without fault though but it’s the quickest way I can find for me to do it. I leaned the hard way that trying to check out using PayPal is just way too slow.

I'm putting this in a room that has a number of prints of all sizes and with differing frame styles and colours. This will be the largest so I'm tempted to go for quite a traditional and decorative frame moulding to make it stand out.
I used paypal for buying mine. Is apple pay much faster then? I've never used it before.
