Maybe the gallery assumes that it won't sell out so they don't have to front the cost of firing up the HP.

In my recent experience most 'releases' are sold with the caveat that the print won't be shipped for 6-10 weeks (a lot of these recent Shrigleys), so are effectively pre-order releases as well.

Glad to see he can still do this and that he hasn’t faded out entirely. Any success is well deserved imo, to his credit he could’ve cashed in on the Kanye association, the fact he joined a pretty exclusive club that includes Condo, Kaws, Murakami etc but he didn’t.
He just did his own thing, popping up every now and then with some low key shows (and a column in GQ of all things!) He has a strong collector base behind him so I guess he could afford to but I think the fact he’s now signed with Almine Rech is a big deal & shows he was playing the long game, waiting for the right opportunities. Very much looking forward to the show in the Autumn & I’m sure it’ll do well - shame it’s going to be against a backdrop of what seems to be shaping up to be a fairly dark time for the wider art market, but that’s a whole other can of words, words, words, worms (I’ll see myself out).
