Completely different day down the studio today messing around with layered paint and printing onto wet layers and generally making a mess. Manage to get one very nice tech-head print/painting done... I'll upload it tomorrow but as for now here is the latest of this print gone live on my store

So that was a fairly mental weekend @ the Electric Picnic
One thing that I learnt was that is it pretty difficult to screen print in a tiny space with a box on your head!
All in all bloody good fun though

I am proud to have been invited to be part of Hit the North, Belfast’s best and only street art festival.
As well as a ton of street art there is a conference in the Black Box that runs from Thursday the 15th to Friday the 16th. The whole thing is run by Seedhead arts and ends with Belfast Culture Night so is probably going to be totally nuts!

I am going to be doing a screen printed wall on Thursday and Friday too on Garfield Street so if you are wandering the streets of Belfast come down and have a look.

Morning all!
So back from Berlin, land of brilliant public transport, street art and cheap good beer... radiohead were brilliant and the sun shone every day... now back to the real world.
This week is going to be fairly mental. I am installing an exhibition in Dublin on thursday... then back up to Belfast to make a mural for Hit the North, Belfast's only street art festival and then back down to dublin for the exhibition opening only to have to get back to Belfast for some live screen printing on the weekend.

Hey Leo - I'll be there for sure. This is always a great event - tied into Culture Night on the Friday, so plenty of free entertainment - Belfast will be buzzing (think that might have been the strap line from a really cheesy marketing promotion in the 90's - sorry!)If anyone in in NI on Thursday/Friday I can thoroughly recommend getting yourself down to this - it's best night of the year for Belfast. By the way loads of the previous years street art is still up and worth a look - some really huge pieces, especially around Hill Street (massive Conor Harrington), North Street (Inkie etc) and the maze of streets behind St Anne's Cathedral and the Central Library - all within a 5 minute walk of each other.....

I agree with all of this! Culture Night is pretty much the best night that Belfast has to offer
Not sure if I am going to be in Belfast as yet for culture night... got to make the Dublin or Belfast decision but if you are on Garfield street come and say hello dbnetherleigh

What a great night and some brilliant artwork. Leo - yours looked brilliant - called past a couple of times but you must have got it up in super quick time because it was finished - no doubt having a few celebratory beers! Actually went back down this morning to get a few snaps - some eejit had lent the wire fencing against yours so couldn't get a snap - but will be back down next week. Some of the pieces were huge - massive Dan Kitchener @ St Anne's Square, and a really nice piece beside the Conor Harrington on the Black Box - a bearded man in a kind of impressionist style, but not sure who the artist was! Loads of decent music, food and wrestling (!) too. As we say in NI - good craic!

cheers man. It was really good fun making it... worked pretty late on thursday and then got stuck in early on friday so had it done by about 4... good timing as there were people and paint everywhere
I didnt really mean for my piece to be so dark! hahaha... but yeah culture night itself was great fun. It is a shame it doesnt happen more often.

So I did this today in a bit of a rush. But the sun shone and the street weirdos were nice to me.
It is just besides a 2nd hand bookshop in Belfast... I quite liked the idea of a cctv camera getting caught reading Banksy so er yeah thats what i did

So I have been mad busy again... but yesterday managed to get into my studio and work on some of my own pieces. It is a long process of layering paint and waiting for things to dry and doing ghost prints and waiting for them to dry etc etc... I did take some photos to put up here but now i cant find the bleedin lead to connect my phone
Soooo on that note have a go of this. This was part of the telehead screen print shop in the Electric Picnic.
