POW are a joke, by Octopus UK on Mar 29, 2007 16:10:16 GMT 1, What do POW care? As long as they sell the prints. The one per household limit is an easy way to try and makes things more equitable. A lottery would be more efficient though.

I think havin them all stacked up in the back of a van, and selling them out the back would have worked better

POW are a joke, by danvnuk on Mar 29, 2007 16:48:07 GMT 1, Incredible. I was in a meeting at 3pm - and to make matters worse - the only LA print I really wanted was morons - lol - looks like I missed the boat completely here.
So just to confirm, only Morons was released today? And the POW site appears to be dead in the water right now?

POW are a joke, by budoukiba on Mar 29, 2007 19:58:25 GMT 1, There is nothing much POW can do about it. They told everyone what time it would be released (although that was a little confusing) so everyone had a fair chance. Everyone was in the same boat, some were lucky, some were not. Theres nothing more they can really do

i agree there was little they could do to avoid the onslaught of hits but there is everything they could do about making sure that their system didn't time out on people desperately trying to checkout after being as you say lucky. that's not fairness, that's just cruelty

Being one of those people, I'd have to agree.

Especially after an hour and half of trying to check out a print that you can see the number of and have an order number as well. Thats just a wind up.
I did think it was interesting they added the signed Sepia edition. I wonder if the unsigned Trollies will be the like the LA ones and then a new signed colour edition. Now there's a thought.

I think that's what they'll end up doing! 400 of the remaining 500 of the LA edition, plus 150 signed, and perhaps 300 (or more) of the signed color trollies. I think it's a great idea to expand the total number of prints by introducing variants (such as sepia Morons), 'cos more people can get it - in theory. With the current system though, they could release an edition of 10,000 and I think the site still won't be able to handle the traffic! The biggest issue right now is traffic, not supply...

POW are a joke, by Run Pig Run on Mar 29, 2007 20:56:47 GMT 1, "The biggest issue right now is traffic, not supply..." yep, they knew this but did nothing about it, why did we have to wait so long only for POW to just release them in the same way applause and grannies were? Glastonbury tickets go on sale on sunday and about quarter of a million people will be trying to get them, but i bet it's organised a whole lot better than this shower of shit.
