At below 1000 you would be able to get a signed book/books, posters, or some older signed multiples. Not a limited print though. They will probably hold their value but unlikely to appreciate much. As always, buy what you like, not the name....

Will that be any better than going through the Heni website?

There's been rumours of this cherry blossom print for nearly a year now.  I'll believe it when I see it.

Thanks for the advice! Its a cheap plane ticket so why not? Do you have any idea how much these prints will cost? I have never done anything like this before and I am very new to the art world....

Budget £6k and you might be pleasantly surprised if they come out at £5k.

Be very careful buying one of these i was told there are fake ones out there. Don't ask me what a real one and a fake one looks like because i don't know, someone else might help with that.

I think that was around the release price but they took an age to shift, as there are so many different editions.
I would say it's a good price to pick one up for now.

£2k is about right for the lenticular. That’s about the only Hirst print you’ll get at that level aside from the single spot prints which are a waste of time in my view. The skull looks pretty cool on the wall.

I personally don't believe that Hirst prints will do incredibly well in the long term. There are a huge number around and Hirst doesn't really stand for anything but making money. His work doesn't have any "feeling" to it. At least Emin has an interesting person and comes across as somewhat genuine.

You’ll be doing well, I spent about 6 months trying to source one at below £2k and in the end paid £2,300. If it’s the edition of 1700 they go for a little less. Sounds to me like you’re not a massive Hirst fan so you may be better off investing in an artist you connect with, you can pick up a whole load of Emin prints for less than £2k

I’m not a Hirst expert by any means, but I was once in your position. Wanting a Hirst without investing too much. I thought about a Turps banana, but i really wanted something with the signature spots.
Then I found this:



its small, but after some creative framing I’m more than happy with it. 
it’s signed and an edition of 1700. 
A Christmas gift from Momart circa 1997 (I believe). 
They pop up on eBay here and there for about £800.

Random and not spotty but how about a Magnificent Seven, Signed edition of 1500 (500 kept by the artist).
