Mrs Banksy, by Balboa on Jul 29, 2020 10:31:44 GMT 1, Exactly.
And are all of the rapidly sold out items really sold?
All just ways of making the brand appear more desirable.
What makes you think this is a real auction with real bids?

Welcome to Marketing 101 Time will tell ? The making of any artist uniqueness, marketing/promotion and luck
I think there is a real demand for the work, although not many will admit it at this stage.
Have a nice day.

If you look at the auction bidding history, I really can't make out what's going on. Seems like ppl have bid way over current 'auction value' but it's not registered??

Mrs Banksy, by letterpressed on Jul 29, 2020 11:36:38 GMT 1, I wonder whether the bid is binding?
Guess you may have to register card info in order to bid?
The price could go insane and winner may not pay?
fascinating innit.

I find its in the same ilk to online casino adverts like that ex football manager chap fleecing people
Come on poor people, have some fun, come and lose what little money You have with us. Guaranteed!

It wont be the people with plenty of money buying this I find its in the same ilk to online casino adverts like that ex football manager chap wanker fleecing peole Come on poor people, have some fun, come and lose what little money You have with us. Guaranteed! Yeah, apart from the whole ripping-off-a-decent-and-well-respected-artist thing, which in itself is a slippery slope to endorsing the plagiarism off all hardworking artists out there, there's undeniably the risk that Banksy fans, or even those looking to gamble the mortgage money in the pursuit of future reward, will buy into this whole parasitical art project. And not because of its artistic merit (those bow-wearing choppers would look cute and quirky in any bathroom), but because it's the latest in a long line of "is it? isn't it? could be?" artists* that occur due solely to the existence of, and benefit entirely as a result of, the hard (also risky and expensive) work that Banksy has done, and the possibility, however remote (but certainly implied), that they are actually Banksy in some sort of disguise.
These grifters** exist because of Banksy, use the work of Banksy, and benefit financially entirely due to Banksy's appeal and fanbase. And they back that up with none of the hard work, and none of the good stuff that comes with Banksy. It's all grift and little graft.
Anyway, as the old saying goes, buy what you like.
*I don't mean any of you lot, obvs. x
** Again, none of you lot. x

This is a con. Sure, someone might be a canvas for a few grand. Sure, someone might be able to flip it at some point for a few grand. But the time will come When the bubble will pop
Don't be left holding any Mrs. Banksy bags.
You have been warned.
If you like the imagery - get yourself a WCP reproduction.

This is not being influenced by another artist. It is copying another artists work for profit. If they put half as much time into creating their own art they might do better.
The artificial demand, multiple UAA hype accounts, crate gimmicks and now the auction gimmick shows some creativity, it's a pity it is channelled into selling counterfeit goods.
