Banksy Welcome Mat, by Terry Fuckwitt on Mar 23, 2020 23:05:46 GMT 1, Just received email to say they are sending the 2nd batch out soon, they aren't waiting until they are all complete but sending them out as they arrive due to the changing circumstances, but hoping on 1 month! Good news Dear friends, The resilient women we support in the refugee camps in Greece have been working flat out to produce the Banksy mats you pre-ordered. The logistics of creating mats in the camps is difficult at the best of times but it has been complicated further by changes to travel and movement due to coronavirus. Normally we would send all the completed mats in the run at the same moment, but with the chaos in shipping around the world we have decided to send mats out to you as soon as they arrive in our warehouse. So starting today we are beginning to ship out small numbers of mats each day, and we wanted to share a few things with you in advance so that we can help manage the process. 1) As of today, all mats are due to be sent out to you during the next month. We will let you know if there is a delay to this due to any further shipping or travel bans in Greece or elsewhere. As you can imagine, shipping is slow to our warehouse at this chaotic time. 2) When your mat leaves our warehouse you will be sent an email with a tracking number. Some countries have new measures in place in regard to imports, such as Italy but we have been advised that the mats will arrive as soon as trade moves in these scenarios. Sadly we will not be given a timescale for this and you will need to follow the order with your tracking number. 3) As we advised at the time of purchase, some countries may impose its own customs charge that we are not told about. We haven’t heard that these have been impacted by coronavirus. I want to personally let you know that everyone involved in this process is working against incredible odds to ensure the delivery of your unique Banksy mat. At this time we ask for your kindness and patience as we ensure delivery of a very special item. Thank you for being patient with the process over the coming weeks ahead. We are truly excited about beautiful mats that have been designed by Banksy and created for you by the women in the camps. Thanks for being with us on this journey. Love Welcomes Look LW, the punters that have forked out the hard cold cash for these expensive doormats don't care about the mechanics behind it. They just want their product and couldn't give a monkeys about delays or why things aren't moving. As westerners we want everything now now now.. Hell the majority of them just want to put said Doormat it in a useless plastic box or frame it until they can flip it on ebay for a profit. I would not want to answer questions from relatives when they pop over for Sunday Roast why I have a framed Doormat hanging on my Bedsit wall. Hence I did not make the decision to purchase...... As yet, I haven't seen anyone Chuck one on their doorstep as yet and use it for what it was meant for. Suggest to get those ladies running back to back shifts quick sticks so our forum members can receive their prize.
No need to frame your mats yet. Put them by the front door, as no f**kers are gonna walk on them for a while.

In this case it's a mat with a Banksy label.
Banksy created the Banksy market and no surprise that anything and everything connected is being bought and flipped by a robot army to people who do not think outside the box (but have money to burn).

Banksy Welcome Mat, by Dust Buster on Mar 24, 2020 20:33:16 GMT 1, Got this from Love Welcomes yesterday and didn’t see it posted here. It seems like they’ve understandably paused production. I assume those of us who ordered from batch 2 and have not had a shipping confirmation will have to wait a while. The situation sounds bad:
Dear friends, Our website is open, but the situation for delivery and production is changing daily due to the response to COVID-19 in Greece and other countries. Thank you more than ever for continuing to shop with us, as you know everything we do is made by refugee women and this is a lifeline for them. We cannot keep supporting the women in the refugee camps in Greece without you. The women have now been put in isolation in their isoboxes – the containers they live in. But they are scared. The camps are very cramped and have poor health and sanitation facilities. If you wish to make a donation directly to the women in the refugee camps at this time then we would use this to continue to provide access to vital services and supplies.
For two weeks we have stopped work but the women themselves are looking at creative ways to keep production going in these circumstances. We are doing everything we can to support them and the rest of the camp at this difficult time, and for the foreseeable future.

Banksy Welcome Mat, by Ruggs on Mar 24, 2020 20:44:04 GMT 1, I got ‘Order Shipped’ notification on the 20th and still waiting for mat to arrive. I’ve tried to track it via ParcelForces website, but it doesn’t show any tracking details. Anyone have the same? I appreciate the current situation may have had a big impact on parcel deliveries.

Differentiate between original 1st edition of 500 and remainders?
Personally don't like this toe tag looking thing. But obviously easier and faster for the craftswomen to attach. Original ones looked handsewn around all 4 edges.

Banksy Welcome Mat, by Swiss Alan on Mar 25, 2020 13:21:49 GMT 1, I got ‘Order Shipped’ notification on the 20th and still waiting for mat to arrive. I’ve tried to track it via ParcelForces website, but it doesn’t show any tracking details. Anyone have the same? I appreciate the current situation may have had a big impact on parcel deliveries. I 'spoke' to them and the next batch (mine included) are sitting in the warehouse and haven't been collected by Parcelforce yet.
So if anyone was like me and had originally wanted it delivered to your work address, you can contact LW and get them to update the delivery address.

Mine was delivered at work today.
