Most of these have had a lower offer accepted. But point taken, value has risen over the past few days. Willing offer higher. I appreciate the insight, i don't appreciate sarcastic comments mind..

It is now their choice to do whatever they wish really and higher demand makes more ยฃยฃยฃ for charity when more become available so could not disagree more. Because it was bought for charity they should resell at cost if the demand is there? Not.

So making money out of something produced by those poor people is ok is it? I'd give it a bit more thought if I were you.

Banksy Welcome Mat, by Deleted on Sept 12, 2020 8:34:38 GMT 1, What are you talking about? You make no sense. Once the piece yours its yours, the price at order will not change and you are not making money off poor people. You are being unreasonable here. On the contrary it creates hype for more demand once they produce more. This discussion was held on another thread and I guarantee you you are wrong. If people want to buy it at a higher price who are you to command a no profit line for something you dont own? Stop dreaming.

I wonder how many people sold their Flags with a huge profit without making a donation like it was mentioned in the letter by POW attached to the print.

Banksy Welcome Mat, by Deleted on Sept 12, 2020 8:45:13 GMT 1, 100% correct. My point exactly. Let's be realistic here and Flag is even worse in reality because B asked specifically to make a donation with part of the profit. Was never the case with the mats, only to buy (at 500ยฃ!).

Banksy Welcome Mat, by lacklisted on Sept 14, 2020 11:49:33 GMT 1, That is mine - I still can't decide if it is the most beautiful or the ugliest framing I have ever done. The orange matte in the front and back is smooth velvet which gives it texture and depth. Definitely a risk, but I love taking chances on all my frames and sometimes you get the good, the bad and the ugly. If you could do the brown of the mat instead of the orange , you would win the framing Olympics
Love frame job there. ๐

Banksy Welcome Mat, by chichi carter on Sept 15, 2020 0:11:50 GMT 1, After seeing a bunch of them framed I decided to leave it as is. I find the framed examples all feel a bit bulky. But I still needed to hang it somehow. So I float mounted it to a 1/2'' thick piece of 'foam core' / backing board. I measured, marked and predrilled all the holes, put in a couple of hooks that are held by Chicago screws, and I used some black fishing line that could handle the weight to sow the mat to the board (in five spots) and the job was done. Total cost of 'framing': $0.00. The board was a leftover piece that was lying around at work and the rest of the stuff I had at home. I can't see how you could fix the mat to anything apart from sowing it on there. It's quite easy as the mat fibres are held together by a grid at the back. I just had to slightly separate the fibres at the front for the fishing line to get in there at the bottom, to the grid, and disappear once you let the fibres go. It is invisible, easily reversible, and damage free on the mat (and on the wallet). Here are a couple of pictures of the final result of the back. You already know what the front looks like...

Good luck keeping the dust off it. I'll just use compressed air to dust it once in a while, as prescribed by Love Welcomes. It's not like the mat is the cleanest thing that ever was. Just getting it out of the box there were some tiny rocks falling and it was shedding some fibres. Anyway, I wanted to hang it as is and so I did.
