I'm a new user to the Urbant Art Association and have signed up to post the sale of my Banksy Monkey Parliament print.
This is a great example and the condition is excellent I'm pretty sure you will be hard pushed to find a better example on the market. Given this print is over 10 years old it does have a light crease in the centre of the image which starts at the bottom of the print and fades towards to the top. This was caused not from folding but from storage in a sleeve.
Open to offers, open to collection in person and open to arranging delivery.
Now need to figure out how to attach images to this thread as I'm posting from a mobile device. Help welcomed from seasoned users.

Such a simple thing to make snide copies.. and at £5k a pop its an obvious one for someone to do and make a whole load of money..
This is in no way doubting the legitimacy of this one for sale.. but these will now need full trail of original purchase to make all the new ones that will pop up on here / ebay / tate ward / chiswick / paddle 8 / artnet auctions and many other second tier auction houses in the up and coming months to validate before purchasing

Good luck with the sale .. and as rightly said, the price asked is the price required.. if people dont want to pay it, it wont sell and that aint a problem to you..  What was the edition size? I never see these come up for sale.

From what I have seen on the secondary market you will be hard pushed to find a good clean example with original proof of receipt.
If something looks and smells like it has come of the printing press a day ago then that in my opinion would be an instant red flag. I'm happy to have a phone conversation and meet in person regarding the sale to help alleviate any concerns, an individual selling a fake is less likely to engage with a buyer in this manner so that again is something to consider.

There was a £3.99 first edition and a £1.99 last edition. The one you quoted must have been extra special hence the high price.

Question about the Peckham rocks...should the £3.99 stickers on the back be taken off or left on? I've removed it but kept it, was afraid it would start staining the "rock". At the end of the day, if it does gain a lot of value and a serious collector wants to display, not sure they'd be interested in having this sticker stuck on it. |
