It could be that there's more of a buzz around the more affordable lower priced pieces than the higher priced stuff of canvas.

I suspect you have answered your own question there. Sweet roof pretty much flooded his market with work after it having beeen relatively scarce for years, especially at the more affordable, more manageable, end of the spectrum so it may well be that most who wanted something managed to find a piece direct from the artist..

Sorry to interject, best of luck with the sale OP..
