Who the hell is Not Banksy???

To be clear I purchased one of the Choose Your Weapon ones for a couple of reasons, one because I was just lamenting how much I miss the image, but two for $125 I want to understand the quality of both the print and the COA.  

So who the hell is Not Banksy?  I somehow remember hearing about "Not Banksy," then hearing he died, then there was some Not Not Banksy, selling for a high price that felt all sorts of wrong, and then now this.  Again I am NOT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM ENTERTAINING THAT THIS IS BANKSY.  NOT EVEN FOR A SECOND.  However does anyone know who it is and why these literal copies of both the work and the COAs?  Also confusing is why would a, what seems to be legit gallery/print shop work with someone plagiarizing Banksy?

I think this level of fake is bad, because it goes beyond give people the chance to enjoy a Banksy image at an affordable price, as it’s also recreating the COA’s as well. Ok, it’s clearly saying they are not by Banksy, but then why make COA’s?

They are signed by "Not Banksy" and then again the COA says "Banksy",
which is super misleading. Wow, They look really bad....

Actually some of the Not Banksy pieces look good, like they are done by somebody with some artistic skills, but the print at the start of this thread look awful. Makes me think two or maybe three people are releasing art under that name 🧐 what do you think?

Ok fellas, thanks for the intel. So seeing as i owned the original CYW and am going to receive one of the banksy ones, i’ll give you all a report. As i said at the beginning i am buying this knowing it is NOT Banksy, but want the small image for my office as a reminder of better days as well as to have an understanding of what exactly it is because i for $125 i couldn’t resist.

Yah i am not really trying to buy fake banksy’s for $500 which is what it ends up being for me in the US. I bought the Not Banksy because it was $125 and i wanted to see what it was all about.
