Very valid point.

I happen not to like this particular image, but I do find Lister a strong artist, and a cheap stencil is a great buy if you like the visual, much more authentic than a lot of expensive hand finished crap !

His small hand painted pieces are always priced at this level, I think many of the others have been far better than this and at the prices are pretty good value - I will be passing on this one however!

This will be very much enhanced when it is framed and mounted, I bet it will look like a different thing.

All works that are 100x100cms are 8.5k aud
All works that are 180x180cms are 18k aud

I'm normally a lister fan, but the past year or so of work has been quite mediocre.

I actually really like the image and would have bought it if it was on archival.

Listed is good artist but I think probably the worst for churnin stuff out. He really takes the piss commercially which I think is an insult to his talent and those who follow him. The 'rubbish art' series is a good example of that

I don't see why it not being archival should be an issue. A little aging and decay would only improve this particular image.

There was a few more paintings that were on the pdf that didn't make the cut for the show.

He also had a dozen or so Bronze sculptures in various sizes from 2" to 2ft  available.

I can upload some pics of the show if anyone is interested in seeing them.

I like the Lister ltd edition stencil. I think it's a good buy for any collector.

That was the weirdest thing to say, collector sounds like someone that just collects instead of enjoying? I honestly like this piece it is well balanced in it's simple rawnes. Love it.

 My view is that people who collect to build up a collection, do enjoy what they have collected.

 Lister prices for originals could reach record levels in a few years and something hand sprayed made by stencil to me is better than having a ltd edition print made by mechanical process.
