Yes, its pretty dificult to buy his original work these days- You might get lucky at one of the Australian galleries but to be honest I reckon that the stuff on Frankie's site is some of the nicest I've seen.

Thinking about it! I'm trying to raise money but it's a lot of cash...Maybe if they are still around in a couple of weeks I'll take the plunge. They are great images.

Anthony Lister π¦πΊ Australian Contemporary Artist, by BME on Jan 24, 2008 2:44:15 GMT 1, expresspost, it's a nice gesture but I think that both keen Lister fans and the more switched on flippers will already have searched his website to see where he's exhibited and contacted the Australian galleries direct. It's not very difficult.
Art in Australia is, mercifully, a bit cheaper than in the UK, but if you are importing art into the UK from Australia then you need to think about VAT and shipping/ insurance. If you add 17.5% on to the cost of the piece for VAT and then 400 quid or so for shipping and insurance the Australian prices don't look so flash.

Anthony Lister π¦πΊ Australian Contemporary Artist, by beasty on Jan 24, 2008 8:50:42 GMT 1, interesting prices! I was offered NYC kid 5 and 6 a week or so ago through a Gallery in the UK (that shall remain nameless for now). They wanted 4500 UKP for the pair. That's about 100% markup and they didn't even have the originals to hand! I was also offered the 2 in your previous post( one at 6500UKP). Sounds like another case of "Rip Off Britain" if you ask me! Can't help but feel pi**ed off at the scene in the UK sometimes.

Nice one! Wish I could follow but lack of money tends to lead to lack of print.
Any mention on how many have been sold?
