There's not enough time for one person to respond to every single email and try and pack the hundreds of pre-order copies that need to ship.

Sorry if I am being a little dense but why does anyone need to RSVP as the specials are on a first come first served basis? Unless ofcourse something has changed

Venue size...some people come down for drinks etc and so we have to have a way of 'estimating' how many people may turn up. For other spaces we don't normally have to do so.

It's from his latest series exploring Australian themes...it makes sense in the context of his interview where he speaks about going through 'phases' - masks, faces, superheroes. We like to have something a little different - a face would have been too obvious and has been done before. This is certainly different to what people may think of as "lister" but I think it's really bold.
