Toasters π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by Cassius Legrande on Nov 11, 2007 0:01:13 GMT 1, ...a few pics from the opening of The Toasters 'There's a Circus in our Town' show on Thursday night at Nelly Duff. A lot of people braved it through the rain and the vibe was really positive for the Toasters work... Apologies if it was a little cramped but the beer seemed to keep the people warm who were hangin in the street ; ) Thanks for all your support ; ) Picture 6 (i think) is of the show screenprint and will be online at www.NellyDuff.com from Monday 19th at 9am as we are currently updating the cart of our site. (if its going to be before we will post up). Cheers ; )

Toasters π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by Cassius Legrande on Mar 12, 2009 13:30:03 GMT 1,
On Thursday 28th May 2009, The Toasters and fifteen of their fellow trespassers, some of Europeβs most influential artists from the world of street art, will come together in East London for a collaborative exhibition. The Toasters, one of the original pioneers of street art in the UK and globally, have entertained the streets since 1999, appearing on posters, banners, stickers and murals all over the world in Berlin, Stockholm, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Sydney, New York, Paris, Peckham... everywhere!
Born on a cold New Years Eve in 1998, over a kitchen table in Wolverhampton, The Toaster project started life as an idea of how to make a mundane object famous, subverting the image by its placement and its graphic rendering! The Toaster project grew and has inevitably over the years created more questions than answers along the way.
Set deep in the roots of New York 'crew culture' and the graffiti and street art movement, is the notion of collaboration; working together towards a common goal of painting a train, a wall or to breakdance. Trespassers of the World Unite is a celebration of the last 10 years on the street for the infamous Toasters and a nod to those artists who they have respected over the years β hand picked through their long standing friendships, ripe talent and a maturity of work that has seen these artists at the forefront of the Graffiti movement since it's explosion in the mid 1980's.
A total of fifteen artists are involved in the collaborative exhibition with The Toasters; Will Barras, Bomb Kid, Butch, Crackrock, Dicy, Eco, Erosie, Influenza, Mr Jago, Late, Paris, Phet, Rabodiga, space3 and Zime.
Trespassers of the World Unite will take place on the evening of Thursday 28th May 2009 at as yet an undisclosed location in Hoxton⦠an area where all the artists exhibiting have in the last decade painted, pasted, trespassed and ran away from the police with The Toasters....
