Right. Because the whole concept of art as a gift to support artists, show appreciation for others, and maybe expose folks to something they would not otherwise find on their own…all terrible ideas…
If you want to rail against the commercialization of Christmas, have at it. But calling out artists specifically seems a bit narrow in my opinion.
Holiday bazaars are a long standing tradition - even in our corner of the art world.
