Love Rat banksy, by travispete on Feb 10, 2019 23:20:04 GMT 1, Am considering offering my u/s Love Rat for sale. With COA of course. Thoughts on price? I think one sold in Nov at a Sotheby’s auction for like £15k.

Love Rat banksy, by Viscount Jerkoff on Feb 11, 2019 8:15:36 GMT 1, Right now I think you would be doing well to get £13-13500 in a private sale. That’s just my 2 cents. And yes I do own one.

Love Rat banksy, by andyroo0312 on Feb 13, 2019 6:39:58 GMT 1, If one sold at Sotheby’s for £15k I think £10500-£11500 would be closer to the mark. Take away the 25%the auction house takes and factor in the saving on a cash deal £10-£11k would be a win win for both parties. It is getting very difficult to hide money from the taxman these days. Down here such money would be counted as income thus a sizeable chunk would go to the taxman. Not sure about the rest of you but We have data matching which cross checks your name against everything institution you can think of. Cash is kill in the land of selling art.

Easy way to avoid this is to say you sold 2 prints instead of 1 for £6k each. Art sold for less than £6.5k is not taxable.

Love Rat banksy, by galaxy01 on Feb 13, 2019 11:14:45 GMT 1, Sotherbys was not mint condition iirc? Phillips sold a non mint one for 15k in July too.
I have a friend who has had multiple 12k and a 12.5k offer on a mint condition one but decided to hold on to it. So 12k is achievable.
